Quality sushi and service; the staff members were friendly and helpful in their recommendations. They were very knowledgable in regard to ingredients and preparation, which was important as one of those dining with us has significant allergies. Good conversation, as well. Currently it's BYOB for wine/beer/liquor, but they are planning to obtain licensure to sell/consume on premises. We wish there was more space for seating, but enjoyed our time at the sushi bar nonetheless! Definitely planning to return in the future.
South Tampa gem. High quality fresh fish makes for delicious sushi. My husband and I eat here at least 2x a month. The owners are great people, so kind and personable, and we absolutely love supporting their business. Give it a try- You won’t be disappointed!
I had high expectations because of the reviews but was disappointed when I tried their rolls. I don’t know if this was just a one time mistake but 2 of my rolls had chewy seaweed which ruined the texture and also the flavor was quite basic plus they use microwaves which I don’t know if that’s the right way to heat some ingredients which are “fresh”
Really fresh and absolutely delicious! Had the rainbow roll, yellowtail nigiri, and tuna nigiri.
Such a great place. The staff is fantastic and the food is even better. Reasonable prices as well. I really like how it’s smaller and the chefs converse with you the whole time. We will definitely be back.
The quality of the fish is impeccable! The texture of the rice combined with the freshness of the fish is going to have me returning when I’m back in Tampa. Awesome staff. High end food experience

I cannot say enough great things about BluWave sushi, in the short time that they have been opened they have done nothing short of providing some of the best quality, and best tasting sushi rolls that I’ve ever had! If you’re ordering take out or dining in you’ll experience nothing short of the friendliest, most personable staff I’ve ever encountered at a sushi restaurant. Definitely my go to from now on for sushi in Tampa!
