I ordered my food on line because I saw the reviews for the difficult parking. When I arrived the lady at the corner just looked like she did not want to be there. Very little interaction with the greeting and closing. After I got home my food the sides was wrong for the entrees. In addition, the corn bread was not included. Which had me annoyed a little because I wanted to try it and it was part of the meal. The food was good but extremely salty. I would not recommend this place for a person with high blood pressure because it will go through the roof. The flavor of the food was very good.
I had been to a previous location. I had the Fish with veggies, everything was really good. Food was season well and fish cooked Fresh. My friends had Pork Chops & bbq ribs with greens mac & cheese. One friend said the food wasn't hot, and staff heated up the food. Front Staff was great! Parking is a challenge, smaller parking area. Busy business.
Overall I don’t recommend. The food has little to no flavor and I got only 4 oxtails that were tough with too much fat on them and no gravy. Greens were a little salty and yellow rice tastes like a ton of chili powder. A lot of things were gone already with no postage about it and it was only 4pm. It was kind of like a “you get what you get” experience. The staff is super unprofessional and rude for no reason. And judging by the owners responses to the low reviews, they are unprofessional as well so I don’t expect any change. Cornbread was good though.
First time here and let me tell you, some of the best soul food I’ve ever eaten!! The pound cake and banana pudding are 10/10, will definitely be coming back here. Customer service was great also. Thank you Blue Flame
Very flavorful and seasoned just right. Not usually a fan of baked mac n cheese but there's is cheesy and creamy not dry like baked mac n cheese usually is.. The turkey wings fell off the bone and was smoothed in a delicious gravy. I definitely recommend checking this place out. I will back myself.
Staff was very rude!!!! My meal comes with two sides I asked for double Mac and cheese since my two kids are going to share the plate. I was told cheese is too expensive so we don’t do double Mac and cheese. I told them I can pay the difference I have two toddlers that love Mac and cheese so one scoop for two kids isn’t enough they said they would have to charge me 4.50 for a small Mac and cheese instead of allowing me to pay the difference since I’m owed another side. The whole line yelled across the counter at me about Mac and cheese. I still ended up paying 50+ dollars so why not take care of your customers with kindness. The lady was so mad she dropped my plate and they had to restart my order. I get to the check out and the lady told me I am owed another side I explained what the other two ladies told me and she said yeah duh we don’t do double Mac and cheese.This was my first and last time visiting this establishment.
Food was awful..Oxtails were tough and not cooked thru. Oxtails had no gravy ..watery I took them home to finish cooking in my crock pot with gravy but thru this ordeal I just lost my appetite for them... .yellow rice was out the box...easy to see that..no flavor.no imagination..greens were bland...no meat in them..a soul food place should have greens with choices of meat as well as a vegan one.. green beans were just Ok. Servers seemed rude and acted like they hated their job
01/27/2022 Was my first time at the Blue Flame. The food service was excellent and would come back. I heard that the meatloaf is pretty good. I had yams, collar greens, Smothered pork chops. I'll be back ????
If your looking for a flavorful meal w soul look no further! And whatever u do, DO NOT Forget the banana puddin’ my husband was real life hurt I ate the last bite!Hats off to the owner, keep doing your thing and you have lifetime customers in us!
First time at new location. The food was good still. To my knowledge there is a new person baking red velvet cake. It's still awesome. I just wish they would sell them for holidays. Maybe in future. Please try them out if you want great soul food.
