My favorite spot. Been buying ribs here since the 1990s
I probably will not buy here anymore. The food just don’t taste the same nor does the sauce. I have no photos I don’t remember what day this was.
So good. Wish they had a sitting area.
My go to place for barbeque . Ribs are tender , chicken is nice and moist , and i love their sauce , although i know how to make it now . I had it analyzed . It's a secret recipe . Yum , yum !!! Get your barbeque from the King , Bar B - Q - King , that is .
I'd frequented Mr. VJ's barbeque restaurant growing up and had not had a bite in several years and decided to stop by for a family take out order. I called to confirm if the restaurant was open for business in lieu of the Covid-19 pandemic. I arrived and preceded to open the restaurant's screened door to place my order. I was stopped and asked by the employee to wait outdoors for 15 mins. As a health care professional I totally appreciate all businesses that comply with state orders in an effort to keep their establishment safe for customers and employees. As I'm patiently waiting outdoors, in the heat for well over 20 mins, I'm witnessing other customers walking in and not coming out which was baffling to me because I thought I was asked to stand outside to reduce crowding indoors. So I returned to the screened door and asked the employee would it be better for me to call in my order. The employee responds by saying, "no, it's first come first serve". I've always been a huge supporter of small Black-owned businesses, but what I won't do is support unprofessionalism.
Ribs were decent, lukewarm like being in a warmer. Tasty, tender. I do plan to give them another try and go earlier in the day.
My good friend owns this place! And boy, the food is fabulous! Come here and they'll have your mouth watering!

One of my favorite bbq places, def in my top 3 between Tampa and St. Pete. Ribs always tender and the sauce is soooooo good!
