Stopped by for ice cream after having lunch at Ulele’s.I had a large with a scoop of mango margarita sorbet and salted caramel swirl. My wife had a small with one scoop of crème brûlée café con leche. The ice cream was okay. It was not great. I love ice cream, so it’s rare that I don’t find an ice cream I don’t really like. The staff (at least one of the two ladies working) was not friendly. The rating is more about the ice cream than the service. The shop itself is a very nice looking shop in the small space it occupies.I will most likely go to the other ice cream shop if I get ice cream the next time I visit Armature Works again.
Absolutley terrible and the whiskey ice cream was inedible as it tasted like straight ethyl alcohol. We threw all 3 of our ice creams away after 2 bites. Total waste of money.
Worst costumer service ever.I went there specifically to get ice cream for my son (6 y/o) he was frustrated because he could not see what type of ice cream they offered. The lady said that's why we have a menu, and I responded: he is a child, they like to see the colors of the ice cream to be able choose, she responded well I don't know, I don't have a kid.Isn't ice-cream shops supposed to be kid friendly places? ? not nice at al ?????
Astro is located inside amature works, towards the back. Everytime we visit my daughter has to stop here for her dose of ice cream. She just absolutely loves it and the variety of options she has to make it her own.
I’m sorry but this was honestly the worst ice cream I’ve ever had. No exaggeration. The Strawberry Shortcake flavor my bf got was awful, actually almost inedible. It tasted nothing like strawberry shortcake, but like super tart sour strawberries. I got the crème brûlée cafe con Leche and that didn’t taste anything like it either. Also, the coffee grounds in it were coarse and made me cough/scratched my throat. The ice cream base is not as creamy as what I would expect from an ice cream shop, and they also were not very sweet. We threw them out after a couple bites. I personally want my ice cream sweet, creamy, and full of flavor, which this was lacking in. I expect they use a very low amount of heavy cream. Save your 20 bucks and go to the store and by some Tillamook. You’ll be much happier you did!
The ice cream shop has unique flavors with fresh ingredients.
The ice cream and service is amazing. The best flavors are strawberry shortcake and snickerdoodle
I pressed no I wouldn’t recommend but I have mixed feelings. The ice cream flavor I had was really tasty. However, I have a son with nut allergies so I asked which flavors have nuts. The lady working there told me that only two flavors have nuts BUT everything is cross contaminated because they use one spoon for all flavors and only rinse the spoon with water in between flavors. She did say she could go in the back and scoop it out of a new container so we went with that option. I felt bad about holding up the really long line, with only 1 person working, and making her go to the back to scoop out of a new container. But better to be safe than sorry. There is one sorbet flavor on the menu that is listed as nut free but I’m not sure if they use a separate spoon for it and it’s not really a kid friendly flavor - mango margarita. So, the ice cream was good but maybe not the best place for someone with nut allergies.
This is my favorite place to bring friends and family who are visiting. They always provide great personal service and employees are always seeming to enjoy their job. Genuinely. Great job! Highly recommended!
Great business presentation. Staff was nice. They have a wall full of all kinds of gummie treats and other sweets. A bit pricey but delish. My daughter chose the butterfly gummies. A small bag cost about $3.76. There are many ice cream and sorbet options. My daughter wanted cookies and cream but we were told they did not have so they offered us vanilla and added crush orea cookies on top. She loved it. Sorry didnt catch a pic of ice cream it self.
