All said and done, I didn't eat here. I have gone here before in hope's that the service would improve but again a big disappointment. We were seated and the waitress disappeared. She didn't introduce herself she just walked away after placing the menus down on the table. My son and I waited close to 20 minutes and no one ever came over to let us know they would take our order shortly. There were only 4 tables in use in the entire place and one already had been served. I cant understand honestly how this place is still open. I get that everyone is short staffed ever since Covid but this has been ongoing for years. Sorry guys I'm done and wont be returning anytime soon.
I had a waitress that was a little hesitant to bring coasters& napkins to the table.I wanted to tip her a nice tip because I know not to take it personal-my friends treated me for my birthday ...she was an awesome waitress . I thanked her kindly at the end for her service of the wonderful steak, mashed potatoes,& broccoli.It was so delicious ,and the steak ? was cooked to my liking- the broccoli was just as good, but the mashed potatoes the best !; it was my favorite meal off the menu.Spot on.
The food was good, I got the chicken pasta but whenever we opened the silverware it was dirty and had to get new ones, im glad i checked. Staff was friendly but took a little to get seated (no one was in the front) Maybe because it was really empty but it was about 8-9 at night so I would’ve thought it would’ve been more packed. It was just a last minute decision and was decent.
The takeout wait time is relatively reasonable. Sometimes the staff might get a slight detail wrong or missing (sauce) from the food that you ordered online, but it's not a huge deal since they might be missing/out of in the restaurant all together. The prices have been slightly creeping up throughout the years, and even in the 2 for $24 is almost rarely $24, because they charge $1 here and another $2 extra there for some of their dishes. Still, it's a great place to get quality classical American foods. Their sauces like the House Ranch are very tasty. I've been coming here for years, and I recently changed to takeout only since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Still their food is good, and it's not too pricey compared to other restaurants that offer similar menus/dishes. Applebee's is an American staple. Finally, don't forget to leave a tip to your server or when you order takeout since it's already difficult enough to work in a restaurant these days. They deserve all the help they can get in today's economy.P.S. The grilled chicken wraps is a MUST try. The sauce and the contents of the wrap, make it absolutely delicious and healthy at the same time!
I wish I would have taken a before photo. The neighborhood nachos were AMAZING! Clean establishment, fast service, cold drinks, attentive staff, delicious nachos ????
While never our favorite restaurant, the Applebee's on Sheldon was always a solid choice when everyone wanted to go dine out but no one could really pick a place. Throughout the years the food, service, and pricing have been consistently decent.The half-priced apps at the bar are a highlight. If even a few of the items fit your taste you can fill up for the whole day. Bartenders are usually fun and socialize well with the clients.That being said there have been the occasional days where the regular food was for some reason awful. It either tasted bad, or on one instance made one of us sick. A rare occurrence, but it happened enough to be wary of.
Waitress was excellent she was on top of our order and the food was great. This location we have personally gone to at least 4 times in the past 5 months. The new blue margarita was pretty good for a margarita.
Eat like you are HOME!! HoT #DONUTBALLS omgggggggggggggggg!!!! The BEST thing EVA!! XO KEEP THEM ON THE MENU!!
Not the usual Applebee's I go to so have something to compare this one with. Two of us ordered the 2 for 22. The salads were good. The fries were old. Cheeseburger gets a just ok. The chicken tenders not at all appetizing. Waitress was good though. Food not at all the standards I'm used to at Applebee's.
Our server Diana was awesome, service started at the door and as she cleaned up after the last guests she kept us engaged in conversation. She was extremely patient and helpful in getting our orders taken and our drinks to the table. When she brought our appetizers out for us to enjoy, she updated us with an ETA of when the entrées would be out, and asked if we were enjoying our time and food; she was pleasant and professional a total breath of fresh air. This being our third Applebee's in Tampa to try, she made the experience rank at #1, so Diana we'll be back to see you soon. You were the best server and your attitude made us feel there was no wait, we arrived at 658p and left at 820p smiling, we enjoyed our time tremendously and you definitely had the best customer service I've seen at an Applebee's. Thanks again Diana and the unseen chef for the yum yum ?....
