We have used A Piece of Cake several times for different events. We have never been disappointed with what we ordered. Always fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend.
We were positively pleased that Laurie listened to exactly what we wanted for our event and she came through 100% !!! The cake was so moist and delicious! Her communication through the process and ease in booking made it so simple. Thanks again for a job well done we will definitely I try be coming back!
We went in for a wedding cake tasting today, and enjoyed every flavor! We were booked with another company who closed their doors, and we’re so happy we found A Piece Of Cake. I wish we had picked her originally, but were going off a “preferred vendor” list. Laurie was very accommodating, honest and upfront, and even brought out my kids their own little confetti cakes (it was my daughters birthday) We’re so excited for our wedding cake in October, and we highly recommend Laurie to everyone! Laurie made an amazing custom cake with all the detail I had requested for my husband’s retirement party. I initially thought my vision of the cake might’ve been difficult but Laurie really brought it to life! She was also responsive throughout the process, on time for delivery and set up the cake table at the party for us. We had many people comment on how unique and beautiful it was for our event!

Laurie was so helpful and patient as I ordered a very special cake for my mother's 90th birthday celebration. I didn't know exactly what I wanted, but Laurie met with me and picked up on ques about my mom during our conversation. Then she gave me some really great ideas, we looked through sample pictures and picked out the perfect design. Laurie was so sweet and helpful during the entire process, always accessible and never felt rushed. Moreover, Laurie even delivered my mother's cake on her own special day, it was her birthday too!The cake design and workmanship were both beautiful, and it tasted great too!
If I had asked for generic purple flowers and generally said blue accent flowers I could understand why my cake looks how it does. I asked for royal purple Rose's blue forget me nots and calla lillies. All she admitted fault to was the lack of calls lillies.She did offer a free anniversary cake as compensation which I would have graciously accepted and left well enough alone if the flavors were done properly.I'm not saying her cake tastes bad. In fact it's delicious which is why I went with her, plus her portfolio. The problem lies in her not even realizing her mistake. After weeks of waiting for a response I find myself frustrated.My cake was a flop. It was a mixture of her idea and kinda what the photo said. I learned my lesson. Don't leave a cake decorator to their own devices.
OMG! Laurie is an excellent baker, we did a dessert table with cake pops macaroons cupcakes and she made us a three tier cake with the top being vanilla bean, chocolate and the wedding cake flavor it was so moist and delicious the best cake I’ve ever had and the best service. My daughter loved the decorated cake you designed. Thank you so much Laurie for doing a great job for my daughter‘s Bat Mitzvah.I gave a lot of people your number.SincerelyCathy Simon
To describe our cake as amazing is an understatement from taste and unique design! From the moment we had our tasting we knew we wanted to hire Laurie for our wedding cake. At the tasting she took the time to listen and repeat back to us our vision, she took notes and assured my then fiancé throughout the process when he reached out with questions. Due to a very unfortunate wedding day mishap at our venue, I later contacted Laurie and she accepted and fulfilled my order. I went to pick it up and surprised my husband with it when I returned home. When I arrived, he was so shocked but visibly elated when he realized what I was carrying in my hand. Our taste buds were in great anticipation so we didn't even grab a plate. We ate our cake on a napkin and shared two slices together in less than 10 minutes! We absolutely love the raspberry swirl cake with white chocolate filling. My husband said that we have to now make this our anniversary tradition, ordering this flavor to enjoy while remembering our very special day! Thanks Laurie for being a professional, kind and wonderful part of our wedding day. I wish our guests could have tasted this cake flavor, I know they would have loved it as much as we do!!!!!
This vendor DELIVERED. We visited several popular cake studios and bakeries and found that this was a place for us. We ordered our wedding cake from here and from the moment we walked in, the store was clean, classy and had a wonderful cake tasting experience. After selecting our options, which were very tasty, next was our design. We had something special in mind and Laurie made several wonderful suggestions, but in the end we ultimately wanted exact replica of what we envisioned. We picked up the flowers from a different site I gave Laurie a drawing of what we wanted and right down to the brushstroke she got exact. I was astounded. We will definitely go back for any cake needs that we have in the future!
