My fiance and I happened to get an Airbnb just down the street from this absolutely wonderful coffee shop. We were visiting from Miami, so the Cuban vibes had us feeling like we were home. The food was spectacular, the service even more so. We can't wait to go back, next time we're in town.
Enjoyed the atmosphere, breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Fun decor, staff were excellent. Didn't love the location and they were out of several menu items so those are the only reasons I'm not giving 5 stars.
A friendly neighborhood coffee shop with very friendly staff and tons of seatings.I got a 16oz latte with oat milk. The latte had good espresso to milk ratio, however the espresso did not taste like it was freshly ground. They serve breakfast sandwiches and pastries. I got a breakfast sandwich with turkey which was good. The taste of the espresso wouldve had me give it a lower score, however I’m giving this place a 5 star because of the incredibly friendly staff who went above and beyond to extend good service.Of note, you can enter the parking lot ONLY through N 22nd st. We took Marconi St to get to this place, however, there is no car entrance to the coffeeshop from that street as it was fenced off and so we had to drive a few blocks further to come around to enter the lot. A good improvement to increase access would to open up an entry way to the parking lot on Marconi St to avoid having to drive around the neighborhood.
I love this place. The employees always have a smile for you. The baristas are some of the best in Tampa. The coffee is obviously amazing being roasted right across the street, ground in house and brewed same day. The food is also amazing with my favorite being the Media Noche.
I love to support local, and I think this coffee shop has been a great edition to this area. I think the servers need to be a little better trained. After I had ordered and paid, they then told me that most of what I ordered wasn’t available. My kale salad came from the freezer and you could tell when you bit into it.. it was soggy and still had that freezer ice crunch taste. The last time I ordered the kale, it was awesome—large generous portion, fresh, tons of quinoa, almonds. This one is mostly frozen kale.Again, love that this place was added, and love this place, but customer service, presentation, etc. could be improved.
We got to town early and wanted to grab a great breakfast. We found this local dive and I’m so glad we did. The staff was super friendly, the food was yummy and the quantity was outrageous!!!! This is not a frilly fancy place but the hash was fresh and tasty,
Coffee shop has a very cool vibe, the lady that made me coffee was very nice however the coffee was terrible. Like not the way she made it, the coffee itself. Sour and bitter, super acidic. Never have I ever before threw away a cup of coffee.... But there is a first for everything.
I really wanted to like this place. The coffee was slightly above average but more expensive than you’d pay for better coffee at a place like Moreno Bakery. I also ordered a tostada, which was below average and a concha that was truly awful. It was so stale that it sounded like a rock when I tapped it and didn’t taste much different than a rock either. I took one bite and spit it out, that’s how bad it was. The service was ambivalent at best. The tostada took 15 minutes to be prepared even though there were only four other people in the shop at the time. In summary: underwhelmed and will not be back.
My husband and I always pass by this coffee shop and have been wanting to try it out. There's plenty of seating. The place has a real nice vibe. The staff is friendly and attentive. We ordered 2 coffees, a sandwich and a slice of pound cake. Everything was good. Our coffee is strong, rich and flavorful. We'll be back!
We came in on a Saturday morning to get coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The coffee was ready very promptly, yet it took 45 minutes to get our breakfast sandwich. After waiting for 20 minutes and seeing others get their food (that had ordered a long time after us) my husband went and asked about our food. He was told “oh yeah it will be right out.” We continued to wait another 15 minutes before one of the baristas came over to ask us what we had ordered. Once we finally got our food, it was room temperature and seemed like it had just been thrown together. None of the girls working had apologized for our wait nor did they seem to care that they had forgotten all about our food. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the coffee was good. I don’t plan to go back.
