employees are rude. They dont care about customers' needs. Their selection of products used to be great and now it's a sad place to go too. flavorless. fire and hire real employees. when the old lady slammed in your store you should have just closed down.got some cup cakes today. it's the last draw for me. save your money. ! go elsewhere
Placed an order two days ago and went there to pick it up and it wasn’t ready due to the person that took the order not writing down the pickup date for the following day so they told me that they would have it ready on today. I called Ms Linda(owner) for a discount this morning and she really had a bad attitude because I ask for a discount that they should have offered ( that’s called good customer service) due to their error that she didn’t think her employee made. No worries I won’t be patronizing them any longer, you have gotten enough of my money and you are not the only bakery in Tallahassee.
I've tried most of the Cake Shop's many different types of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, cinnamon rolls, monkey pies, breads, quiches, and other items. Everything is always beautiful and delicious!! Especially amazing are the cakes of all sizes which are elegantly decorated for the specific occasion or season. Each cake is a work of art and too pretty to cut. After admiring the cake and taking photos, we cut into the cake which can be counted on to be moist and delicious. The same is true for the other Cake Shop cupcakes, cookies, pies, breads, etc. It is a joy to serve Cake Shop goodies to guests or to take them to a party--they are always admired and enjoyed with few, if any, leftovers. Moreover, it is a pleasure to work with the owner and her staff because they are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
I ordered a custom cake to feed a large group of people for a dinner event and the reviews from everyone were overwhelmingly positive. The staff was very friendly and the cake was decorated precisely as I envisioned. The woman on the phone was quite helpful in helping direct me through the purchasing process as far as presenting options and did not attempt to upsell me at all. Overall, a resoundingly positive experience!
This use to be a great bakery. Their continued intense Covid restrictions make no sense. They have only drive thru and they hand you your product on a wooden stick. Their phone in service is also horrible they literally say don’t leave a cake order on the machine! So I needed a cake for 60 people I went through the drive thru and when I got to the window she told me to go back home and leave the order on the phone. When I told her what the machine said she said for me to just called till someone answered!! I then said before I do that I would like to know if you can even make the cake I want. She asked me what I wanted so I said it would be a birthday cake with a galaxy/night sky. She just said let me stop you there we can’t do something like that, and closed the window. Rude and not worth the effort. Tasty pastry such better service and cake. They did exactly what I wanted and had no issues with my special cake.
I love this place! Such great staff and AMAZING treats! This bakery is the best in Tallahassee, I can't wait to go back.

I've been visiting Tallahassee with a co-worker for a few years and we always stop at The Cake Shop for a treat. It's ridiculously good. I was fortunate enough to meet Linda, the owner. She has passion for her product, business, staff, and customers. I highly recommend The Cake Shop for anyone nearby Tallahassee or order online.
I love they cheesecake, amazing wish they had more flavors. I started bying cupcakes from them since my favorite cupcakes (Lucy n Leo) shut down. They cupcakes definitely need some improving. The main reason why I rated them so low is they hour of operation. They open from 8:30am - 4pm Monday- Wednesday and 8:30am -5pm Thursday- Friday what kind of hours are those??? When majority of people work 8 - 5pm, they need to reconsider them hours for sure.
I have been coming here for years and the cupcakes are amazing. They usually last me a couple days and are never dry!!
