Hidden Gem In Tallahassee has been converting me into a vegan. The food is outstanding, and the service is remarkable! Must-try in Tally 100%!
Seriously amazing food. I had the tofu banh mi and the potatoes. I wasn't sure if I needed both, and it made for a somewhat larger meal, but boy was I glad I got them. The tastes of both were just amazing ?
The food was amazing! The vibe in the restaurant was chill and homey. There is a stage for live music, but there wasn’t any the night I went. The staff were all really friendly and knowledgeable of the menu items. Definitely going back!!
Recently moved to Tallahassee and came upon this restaurant by word of mouth. I’m vegan and gluten free so I was elated at the menu choices. Upon ordering, I even asked the cashier if everything I ordered was gluten free as I have a severe intolerance to gluten. Of course I’m aware of cross contamination in spaces that aren’t dedicated gluten free but I’d at least like to not order something that was cooked in a shared fryer. I was assured by several different people that “nothing that contains gluten goes into our fryers”…. Cool alright well I ordered the Banh Mi with tofu sub corn tortillas, French fries, Asian delight salad, and sautéed kale (I was a hungry hippo on this particular day) Fast forward to the next day and I woke up with a horrible gluten rash. I called the restaurant to speak to a manager only to be informed by said manager “our tofu is flash fried and we do use shared fryers with gluten containing foods.” The manager offered an apology and a “free sandwich” & that was the moment I thought I was being Punk’d. They also had their peanut butter pie marked as gluten free and it is not. I recommend better training to the employees. -Heart broken-
wonderful vegan ?? restaurant! why isn't it on Happy Cow? Google maps isn't good for vegan searching. Anyway, definitely visit The Bark and enjoy their various delights
The Bark served up a delish lavender lemonade cocktail and a killer Asian salad. Lots of menu options and fantastic graphics for photo ops. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to the table. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely return.
The food is always fantastic! And it's vegan! I don't normally go for vegan food but I definitely recommend coming and trying the food if you are skeptical about vegan food like I was. Though be careful with the lavender drinks. Ask for light on the lavender syrup if you don't absolutely LOVE the flavor or it'll taste like lavender soap or perfume. Also the staff are always very accommodating and worth a 20% tip.
Yummy food, about $9 a meal, a little long to get our food but that is excusable. The bathrooms however are not in an excusable condition. I hear they do karaoke and band gigs sometimes so that seems fun. Vegan brunch, sides separate and anout $3. I had a yummy and filling bean burger, my wife had the house salad, and shared yummy baked potatoes on the side
