Terrific creative desserts. Kids and adults alike loved our experience. Nothing like eating poop in the snow (lol), menu item 19.
As soon as you walk in there’s this whimsical vibe that I haven’t seen much of in Tallahassee. It’s a small establishment, but its in a nice area to walk around in and enjoy your ice cream...in a plastic cup. It’s a shame they didn’t have the mugs as advertised. Even when I asked for them. It kind of reduces the “Instagrammable” nature of their product. Not that I care, but its important to note if you’re that type of person. Plus, the vegan Ice cream that they use is sub par. The brownie, however, wow...Whatever you get, make sure it comes with a brownie because it is the best brownie I’ve ever had. The warm and fudgy brownie goes excellent with any cold and creamy ice cream. Even if you’re not an Ice cream person though, there’s something there for you. All sweet and all will probably satisfy your sweet tooth for months to come.
There was quite the excitement for this place, especially after visiting a facility similar to this one in Nashville. Boy, what a let down. There was quite a wait when we arrived, however we didn't realize this until after ordering. Upon entering the Sugar Rush, an employee passed us by without any greeting or acknowledgement. First impression not to great at this point. Though there were some pretty great things on the menu, we were hoping to simply get three root beer floats and continue on our journey. So much for a quick stop. This turned into a 30 minute wait for some "floats" that were practically melted when they arrived. Soooo disappointing....we could have went to A&W, got better floats and been on our way. Can you say one and done. Oh, let's not forget, it took an employee coming in to work to take our order, after waiting for 5 minutes, not including the 30 minutes to make "floats" and I do understand there were other patrons waiting on their more elaborate orders. It was fairly simply to make ours and get us out the door, given that it didn't take much effort to make. It's simply ice cream and a drink. Way to go Sugar Rush....
My husband and I always enjoy bringing the kids here. Our milkshakes are always amazing and for the amount of stuff you get, the price isn't bad at all!! I have a 4 and a 5 year old, they can't even finish a kids milkshake. My husband and I have to share a small!! We will be back, obviously!
My goodness that was delicious. Really cool presentation but also absolutely delicious. Not just standard, sweet yummy but legitimately different in the way they create the sweet flavors. On top of how excellent the flavors were, the people were equally as sweet. I'm looking forward to coming back to try more of their very extensive menu.
Love this place! I got to meet the owner because she was working the register when I visited. She was so sweet and accommodating. I was happy to learn she has vegan options. Definitely try this place if you haven’t already! Go early to avoid the crowd lol
Got the mint shake. Was pretty good. The frosting they put on the side of the cup needs to be changed it was gross tasting.
This is one of my favorite places to go every time I visit Tallahassee, the staff is always pleasant and polite and always make really good recommendations. The unicorn is my favorite even though it looks super sweet it’s actually the perfect balance where it’s not overly sweet. I honestly recommend this place to as many people as I can just so they can enjoy it too.
For me the flavor of the ice creams here are a little weak and the sugar is a little high. So whichever ice cream you get the flavor seems about the same once your taste buds are overwhelmed by the sugar. Be that as it may the shakes are fun art like concoctions. The concept is good but the ice cream itself maybe could use some work. To me Ben and Jerry's is an example of strong flavored properly sweet ice cream.
One of my favorite dessert shops to visit in Tallahassee. Absolutely delicious!
