Nice to see dine in back at a steak and shake. The difference is that you have to order on a screen instead of a waitress. Friendly staff ready to help with change and food good as it has been.
Usually quick service but I did notice while sitting to lunch, a worker came and assisted an elderly man with the ordering kiosk and noticing he was leaving with an armful of food for the to-go order, walked him to the door, held it, and proceeded to the parking lot in what I can only say was likely an attempt at further assistance into his car; however, he walked from a nearby hotel so she asked if he needed help. The man gently declined and she came back in and back to work. This is not seen often these days but does make me appreciate this staff member.
Not the Steak and Shake I was used to. Everything is self service with out any contact with the staff. No one to take my order, no one to bring out my food and no one to take my money. I almost expected them to tell me that I would have to cook my own food, too.
Waited over 15mins and food that wasn't even hot... SMH! If I have to wait for my food at any fast food or sit down restaurant. I expect my food to be FRESH & HOT! NOT! Luke warm or room temperature ESPECIALLY MY FRIES! Receiving old fries is a pet peeve for me. Food is definitely not cheap nowadays so the quality and freshness of my food should be worth the money I'm paying. We got quality food back when prices were reasonable. Now we just get high priced BS.
the food is good as always......but get rid of those order kiosks...because it seems like the orders get more mixed up this way....because that is what was my experience ...and it was another customer to while I was in there....and when you had servers this never happened.....but I will go back..just making a suggestion
Cotton candy milkshake was great!! It was so great I had it almost gone by the time my food was ready. Grilled cheesr was cooked perfectly and the cheese fries were good considering half the fries were cold. I guess the cheese helped. Appearance was fine, typical for late in the evening. Really didn't understand why the floors were so sticky. It was like it was mopped with sugar water. Dining area and bathroom. Bathrooms were decent but had a really awful smell.
No waitress. Ordered at Kiosk. Waited about 10 min. Then they scream your order number later. The food was great. The milkshake was great. But the atmosphere was a computer screen and no customer service.
Ordered on line for pick up. Got there, parked as instructed, called 3 times, nobody answered. Had to get down to get my food. Cheeseburger had horribly wilted lettuce, and was cold. The staff seemed not to care, and had to wait even more. The chocolate shake did not taste like anything., but the whip cream was super. Will not eat there again.
This was the first time I have been to steak and shake in a long time and I must say everything was hot and fresh at the same time. The last time I went the burger was cold and the fries were warm. I was very satisfied today ?
Far too long of a wait and the order was wrong when we received it. Forced to use drive thru only so had to walk up to the window while another car was attempting to handle their transaction.The staff was wonderful and took care of the problem right away. I'm sure they are understaffed and not their fault. My low rating is simply a reflection so that others are aware of long lines at drive thru since walk in is apparently no longer an option at this location
