This restaurant was so disappointing. I’ve never had such a bad experience. I walk in, and there’s no one up front to be seen, there are also two dirty tables. I finally see everyone in the back talking and eventually someone came up to take my order. Very poor customer service. I had never been to Smashburger, and needless to say, I won’t be back. At least the burger tasted decent.
I'm a huge fan of Smashburger, and have been for years. Visited this location while passing through the town, and while the crew was knowledgeable and friendly, the restaurant was in disarray. My wife had to tell them about the women's restroom being "a mess", and the men's restroom had no soap. Having managed in the industry I'm aware that things go wrong sometimes and employees need training, and that's likely the case here. My sandwich was absolutely the worst burger I've gotten from Smashburger, so perhaps a close eye who's in the kitchen will do some good. Thanks for at least hiring employees who have good customer service!
Burgers are good. Chicken is great. And smash fries are the bomb. Way too expensive though.
First time ordering food from here and it will be the last.Cold, unseasoned, dried out burger that was obviously cooked ahead…wasn’t smashed.Fries cold and greasy. Brussels sprouts obviously cooked ahead, smelled bad.Just poor quality food and waste of $30
What happened? For several years, I have gone here with my family. We enjoyed the burgers and shakes. However, in recent months I have been there five times. Each time was a disappointment. We kept giving it another try, hoping that this Smash Burger location was in a slump and would go back to the former experience. We go there for lunches and dinners, so we have been there at a variety of hours. Four out of the past five times, they have said they are no longer making milk shakes. This is around 7:00, when they are supposed to be open until 9:00 pm. On that note, I have gone there around 7:45 pm and when I placed the order, they ask "this is take out right? Because we are closing soon." At 7:45, they are telling me that they don't want me staying because they close in 1 hour and 15 minutes? Rude. This makes going there unpleasant. Plus, there are mops and buckets of dirty water out in the dining area, and the floor is wet from water. Also, there are numerous tables dirty with food/bags/napkins from prior customers, but there are only two other customers in the restaurant and only one other party (a dad and young son) come in while we were there. So I do not understand how there can be so many dirty tables, when there are so few customers. Bottom line - they are leaving tables trashy until their end-of-night clean up. (I just read similar reviews below, from recent months.) What is the reasoning behind these practices -- letting the tables get trashy, but mopping the dining room area while customers are present and there are almost two hours until closing time, and not being able to make milk shakes? If the dining room is this trashy, I am fearful about the cleanliness of the kitchen. The things I am describing apply to several of our visits there, not just one time. Further, one of the burgers was supposed to be a double patty; even though they charged for the double patty, they only gave us a single patty. I used to be a fan, but I am done. It makes me sad because we really liked the burgers and milk shakes, but for five visits in a row it has been unclean, poor service, and only one time out of five were they making milk shakes. Why bother going there?
Great burger! Old fashioned and juicy, just like we like them. Fries are good but tip over to the great category. I’d recommend this place.
very disappointed was told try this place. yeah no did not make order correctly had to wait 15 minutes to get other burger then made wrong. your fries are gross. they must be frozen and not made fresh daily. $23 for crap food. no thanks.
Ordered our food while on the interstate. We have two in our party that eats gluten free and we ordered two hamburgers with gluten free buns. We picked up our order and it was ready and everything we customized on the order was correct. Staff members were very friendly and polite. Its right by Petco so we got something for our dog as well. Great location, great staff, great food, EXCELLENT service! Will add this to my list to visit again on our way through Tallahassee! Made our day!
No mistakes in our order. Burgers, fries. Friendly staff. More expensive than what you'd expect for typical fast food. Ordered shakes, also. They were good but it's more of a malted milkshake consistency so if you're picky about that...keep it in mind. Probably won't return but that's because it's a bit of a drive and there are places closer to me that aren't as expensive but just as good or better.
Our company had a meeting in the conference room here and it worked out so well! Once our meeting was over we put in a huge order and still got served in less than 20 minutes. The food was good and it was an easy and seamless meeting place.
