It's school food; better than most public schools and the menu certainly has variety from day to day but whether or not it's quality, or fresh, depends on the staff that day.EDIT 6 years later (2022) - much has changed. Without exposing too much about the inner workings of Seminole Cafe (formerly Fresh Foods Co), I amend my review and can say that the food is fresh, often made in the hours leading up to service and continuously throughout the day. It is also generally **really** quality stuff, much improved since I was a student - changes include: a sushi bar (replacing the general build-your-own salad), with daily fresh prepared ingredients and a weekly menu; specialty pizzas changed daily between lunch and dinner; hot and cold desserts; plant forward station for vegetarian and sometimes vegan options and desserts; and the smokehouse station, which is similar to Traditions in that they have a protein and side dishes, however at smokehouse proteins are more often smoked or slow-cooked overnight and sometimes may have seafood. There are still challenges, mostly effects of the ongoing pandemic, such as staff shortages affecting quality of service, and sometimes food item shortages (most often, fresh produce items like fruits and veggies); be mindful of these. All that said, it is a buffet, and with it being open to not just the university but public guests, I'd consider it well worth the $9 to $11 to get in (prices vary from breakfast to dinner, as well as for public vs FSU staff)

Decent place and convenient for fsu students, especially who purchase meal plans.Otherwise with $10 you can go to places golden coral for a better meal.

hate it here literally no vegan options other than cold quinoa

My lord this place took a nosedive. There's hardly any food and what's actually there isn't exactly choice.I was given the explanation that labor shortages and supply chain issues are the main causes of the problems, which is perfectly reasonable. However, I'd like to point out that Seminole Dining has made no effort whatsoever to publicize this information.

The food was alright, sometimes it’s good sometimes it’s not. They close at random times without notice and the times shown online for the Seminole cafe needs to be updated.

My lord this place took a nosedive. There's hardly any food and what little there is is absolutely awful.

If you're on FSU campus, it's hard to beat Seminole Cafe on variety and quality. Otherwise, it's fast-food,or make your way to Tenn St. I prefer their vegetarian items compared to Suwannee room. The pizza, burgers and wraps are all-day, but SemCafe seems to always have some great, _real_ food available during meal-times. We're talkin' whole grains, hearty vegetables, tofu dishes. They try and keep things tasty with ethnic inspired flavors. Never spicy (enough) but the hotsauces are kept stocked, hehe. On a serious note, vegans can get a nutritious and tasty meal here. As can gluten-sensitive and maybe even raw-foodists, considering their large salad bar. Can't promise the nuts and seeds weren't roasted though. If you want killer desserts, Suwannee's the place to go. But, SemCafe is definitely the best cafeteria on campus.

Warm and welcoming with good selections of food

Great food, clean and safe facility! The staff is always friendly and engaging. I love it here!!!

Good location for Buffet food. I'll return with my coworkers. It has a nice atmosphere.
