This is probably my favorite Mexican food lunch spot in Tallahassee. Great menu options and very affordable.Ate here on the regular outside over the last few years.
Being new to the Tallahassee area, we’ve been looking for our go to Mexican restaurant. After trying a few other places in the area and not being too impressed, we decided to try San Miguel’s out tonight. It did not disappoint. I forgot to take pictures but the food was delish! Our son tried one bite of his chicken enchiladas verdes (his favorite dish that he orders everywhere) and his eyes got big with excitement and he excitedly exclaimed, “we found our spot!” We will definitely be going back to San Miguel’s.
I haven't tried any other Mexican restaurant in town and after eating at San Miguel's there is no reason to. The food was delicious and the beer cold. Great place.
The food was amazing it was authentic Mexican food, the staff was so friendly and funny would love to dine again.
Today, a friend and I visited for lunch; first time visit. My friend's food was not to his liking. He explained to the owner that he was not complaining whether the food was cooked properly, rather, that his palate did not like the #2 lunch special after taking one bite of the item on the dish. I let him taste a piece of the grilled chicken on my salad and he liked it. So, we asked the owner if his dish could be switched to a grilled chicken taco. The owner refused and said, "he may complain about that." There was no reasoning with the owner. My friend became agitated and we left. Neither of us completed our meals. If poor customer service was a person, it would be the owner at San Miguel.
This place may not look like much on the outside but let me tell you its the best mexican food i have had in North Florida in years. The staff was great and very attentive and the food was to die for. We hit up this place just to see what it was like and its the real deal true Mexican flavor. Ill be stoping here on my next trip to Tallahassee
My wife and I have been dining here for years, and there are several reasons for that: the food is great, the portions are plentiful, the service is excellent, all the staff are friendly, and there's no beating the prices. Forget the poor reviews from "Authentic Mexican Cuisine experts". They can high-tail it back to wherever they came from and I'll gladly take their table at one of my favorite restaurants in town!
Food is pretty good, prices are good, service and atmosphere are ok. Small place but worth checking out.
Some of the only good non commerical Mexican food in Tallahassee. Muy bueno
Great Food! They even got us extra hot peppers since like spicy food.. Good service … atmosphere was nice
