I have been to Rootstock three times. Once before the pandemic, once for a prefixe dinner event during shutdown, and again this summer. Each visit has given me a very positive impression, but my most recent visit blew me away.I arrived with three other friends for a birthday dinner. We ordered a charcuterie board and each of the eight small plates to share. Every single bite left us wanting more. The stars were the chevre salad and the brie tempura, but there were no misses.Service was perfectly balanced between knowledge, attention, personality, and distance.I will keep going and recommending.

The bartender knows her stuff! They also have a great variety of wine. The food is some of the best I have had in town. I almost want to keep this place to myself!

Excellent food. Servers are there to help you have an amazing experience. Solid gem in Tallahassee.

I was very impressed with the quality and food flavors. The short rib was excellent, super tender. The pork belly and scallops delicious. The service was really good as well. Highly recommended ?

Great food and drinks and knowledgeable servers

A thoroughly enjoyable dining experience with fantastic and gracious staff. We had the pleasure of interacting with several of them, including the manager. All treated us exceptionally well.Dinner was the roasted beet salad and patatas bravas to start, then tenderloin sliders and the pork chop entree. Everything was really delicious. They have a nice wine list too!We will certainly be back.

We’ve been here for glasses of wine once before and enjoyed, came for dinner on Valentine’s Day since nowhere else had reservations and I wasn’t blown away for dinner. Service was a little slow when there was only 4 tables seated. Wines are a bit overpriced for average $10-20 bottles and they’re charging $15 a glass.Entrees are very pricey for the portion sizes so we avoided, tried the casoncelli pasta which was incredible and the scallops with pork belly which was tasty also. The papas bravas are non traditional, actually only Parmesan fries which we didn’t read so a bit disappointed there or $11 to get a side of fries on a plate.Out of both desserts on the menu so we called it quits. Definitely worth a try if you’ve got some money to spend but not a Cypress level of execution or wine list and service.

So happy that rootstock is back open! Christina is the best and has great drink recommendation and customer service is always on point. Be sure to try the short ribs and crispy pork belly!

Best dinning experience in a long time. Shrimp & grits were excellent. Staff was great as was the Old Fashion.
