The only place in town to get quality pho and other specialty dishes. Don't mind RenegadeG, he bitter as hell because his hairline is receding back to the stone ages. Don't be mad bruh.
Let's review what Phở Bò is all about. First and foremost it's about a deeply flavorful, hot broth ladled over fresh sprouts, onions, greens, and several choices of sliced beef, unctuously soft tendon, tripe, and perhaps pork meatballs. In essence, the hot beef broth cooks the additions it is poured over, and the eater adds in lime, chile sauce, fresh chile, Thai basil, and extras. Armed with chop sticks and a spoon, the diner savors something special. Phở Bò can be magnificent, and even moderately OK versions are worth eating. So what is the deluxe version of Phở Bò composed of at Phở 7? Tepid chicken broth that was nearly tasteless ladled over small fragments of flavorless, grey beef bits, rounded out by adding some tripe that was cooked and stored long ago, a pork meatball sliced in half, and a bit of beef tendon that was so tough I doubt it would go through an industrial meat grinder. This was the worst Phở Bò my wife and I ever tried to eat. In summary, Phở 7 serves pathetically bad Vietnamese food, at a high price. If you like Vietnamese cuisine, avoid this place at all costs. Go to a fast food joint and order their soup instead of suffering the indignities heaped on you by Phở 7. I do not jest.
This was our first time ordering from Pho 7, and unfortunately we will not return. We always must be choosy due to the fact that we have both pescatarians and omnivores in our home. We ordered their "Hangover Cure" pho as well as inquiring about their vegan curry chicken (keep in mind, I was told this dish is not a curry, but just a marinade). I asked if any vegetables came with the curry chicken dish, only to be informed that it only came with a veggie garnish. Against my better judgement, I ordered it anyways. Upon bringing the dishes home, the portions were rather small for the price, as you can get better portions for cheaper elsewhere in Tallahassee. I also was confused as I initially thought there was a mistake in my order. The vegan curry chicken looked much more like the vegan duck pictured in their online menu. When I called to learn if there was a mistake, I was informed that both dishes are prepared the exact same way with the same marinades- the poor hostess had trouble pinpointing what the difference was between the dishes because there was none (that is not a reflection on her, but on the owner and head chef). This is unfortunate and deceptive. There is good room for Tallahassee to have good vegan options in town. However, trying to pass off the same meal as multiple menu options is NOT the way to do it. I created a TripAdvisor to warn other vegan/vegetarians to stay away. Hopefully the owners will read this review and remedy this problem.
First and last time customer. No blueberry tea, no oxtail, no menus given to me at start. I don't want to use my phone. The meat quantity is pathetic. The kitchen does not look well ventilated. Would be great if managers kept inventory of one of their most popular things, and did the job they get paid for so their employees don't look bad. I will never return here. I will go out on my way to suggest people to not go here.
This was my first time here, and let me say how impressed I was! We first got the krab cream cheese wontons as an appetizer and they were nicely stuffed and came out hot! They were seriously delicious. We decided to each get pho and boba tea. The boba was ridiculously good. I always try taro boba and this place’s boba is high on my list for sure! Deliciously sweet! The pho was perfectly done as well! It was hot, came with a side of additional toppings, and it was a huge portion! We both ended up having to take some to go. I got the hangover cure pho and it was everything I had wanted/needed. The staff and wait was super quick, too! We enjoyed our time there and the food. Highly recommend!
I wish I could give this place - stars. I have been a loyal customer but after today I am NEVER going back. This ALIVE CREATURE was in my food box. I took it back to get a refund and the owner accused me of putting the bug in there myself??? And she took 0 accountability. I wasn’t able to get a refund for my food because the machine couldn’t “process”my card. I am completely DISGUSTED and DISAPPOINTED.
I go here often for Pho but my boyfriend had the chicken fried rice and got food poisoning. Sidenote it came out cold and hard (seemed really old and reheated) I feel like if you go here and get just Pho it's usually great but I feel sick too after having what I usually get soo idk maybe caught them on an off night
Pho7 is supreme to all other restaurants.
Good food and friendly workers but over a half hour wait for food.
The Food is Not Authentic, I asked the Serverer with the Curly hair for a small bowl and she never brought it, the Pho Dac Biet didn't even have tripe in it! Bean Sprouts Looked Old, SUPER WACK SPOT!
