If you identify as a person of color I warn you DO NOT GO to the Momo's pizza on Market Street. I am an African American man and I regularly ate at Momo's with my wife prior to the pandemic. Tonight we decided to visit Momo's because my wife was craving pizza. We went into the pizzeria expecting to have a nice evening and were RUDELY discriminated against. We sat down and looked at the menu and never received service. As we were waiting to receive service, two other White couples sat down in seats directly next to us. The server looked at my wife and myself after walking past us multiple times over a 15 minutes span and took the orders of both of the other couples.Even at this point we still waited to see if we would be served, yet we never received service. After an additional 10 minutes both my wife and I left out because we were so disgusted and outraged over the blatant racism that we experienced today. I never thought that in 2022 we would have to deal with this but we did.Once again if you are a person of color please avoid Momo's at all cost as they are only welcoming to certain groups of people.I would give them 0 stars if I could.
Been coming here for about 10 years and place keeps sliding downhill. Place used to have extensive beers on tap and great service. Now beer selection is limited, food quality is spotty, and service is bad.
I used to love momo’s! Understanding that staffing shortages and supply shortages remain an issue, I don’t think they excuse what we encountered tonight. My mom ordered unsweetened iced tea, but received sweet tea 2 times in a row. It took almost 2 hours to get our food. The wings were cooked, but not smoked, as advertised; and were served with the pizza, although ordered as an appetizer. The pizza was undercooked when it finally arrived. We sent it back to the kitchen to be fully cooked, and it came back with TWO PIECES MISSING. That’s when I had to ask for a refund.I worked in pizza for 5 years - I understand how it goes sometimes. But it was not a busy Friday, and there was no communication or accountability from staff until I pointed out the undercooked food and profuse waiting time. The “manager” was a polite young lady who mentioned that 3 servers quit tonight and the kitchen became focused on to go orders. She did comp our pizza….but we still spent $40+ on drinks and it felt like a waste of time and money. It seems to be a situation of poor upper management and we’re sad to see it.
Make sure you are very hungry if you visit Momo's. A pizza slice was enormous. But it was very, very good. The calzones were also too big to finish but it was also very good. No doub I will return when I am in the area.
After some previous negative experiences we tried it again and OMG so good! The food was great but the server Kat really made the difference. She provided what most servers had lacked from here and most restaurants. As long as she is here we'll come back. Btw the blue cheeses dressing was way too sweet
This is my favorite pizza place in Tallahassee. I have great memories of coming here after a baseball game and getting a slice. Pizza is great, every now and then it’s overcooked. But most of the time it’s great. Calzones are huge and stuffed with toppings. Colorful little restaurant with good food and drinks. This place is a little slice of Tallahassee.
My boyfriend and I went in for a quick bite. We each ordered 2 pieces of cheese pizza and they did not let us know that the pieces were HUGE! We paid $24 just to get too much food that they did not even warn us about. The waiter also never checked on us, never refilled our waters, and we had to flag them down for our check. This was when they were not busy, so I did not understand their lack of attention. I recommend going to a different momo’s next time.
This is a great pizza place. I have family that lives in Tallahassee and the love this place. The staff was all friendly and attentive. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because the kitchen staff did not follow the one substitution and two additions to one of our pizzas. I know our server got it correct because I watched her right at down. The pizza came out hot and despite the error was very tasty. The charge for the additional toppings that were requested, but left off was taken off of the bill. Our waitress was very understanding of the error. Mistakes happen and when I am back in town I will certainly give them another try.
Absolutely great food and amazing staff. The only thing better than the food was our server Sabrina. Above and beyond customer service, and prompt and polite even while juggling 1000 things. Can’t wait to go back.
Pizza was delicious and filling. They make it fresh so the food may take a while but it's definitely worth it.
