Great place for a drink with indoor and outdoor seating.
No one knows that they’re doing. My card was over charged. The guy didn’t know how to process a credit card purchase. Had to call “Dave” 30 mins later. Still not solved.
If there's a bourbon or whiskey you're looking for, this place probably has it or knows about it. Definitely worth checking out. Also the lounge next door carries most of the products, so if you're unsure whether you'd like it or not slide next door and buy a shot!
Been coming to Market Square for years! Really enjoy the Lounge next door and Adam the bar manager. The liquor store has always had a great selection of Bourbons and Scotches. Prices are hit or miss now depending on what they get. If it is an everyday bottle of Beam or Jack you pay MSRP. Picked up a barrel select Eagles Rare today, way over priced at $75 a bottle compared to a barrel select similar age 10 years at $38 in DC and other places. The harder it is to find the higher the cost and depending who you are you may be willing to pay, I did today. What was really disappointing was the customer service this evening. You have to ask for this bottle which they keep hidden on the floor (limited to one bottle per “party” not person). Girl was very snappish and unwelcoming not what I’ve been accustomed to when visiting Market Square. When I asked if someone was next door working at the lounge I was told very rudely yes, but you won’t be able to talk they were busy. That wasn’t what I asked, if a place is busy or not that’s not why I go, I go to have a drink and because of who is tending bar. Needless to say I popped my head in anyways said hi, and skipped the drink because at that point I was frustrated.
Always a fantastic selection and great customer service,it is however the product knowledge that I go here for and it is unmatched by all except the bannerman rd store and that is the same great chain of people ?
This place was amazing had a great selection of wines and liquors, I am new wines and wanted to expand my horizons but didn’t know where to start a gentleman named Chris I believe helped me through the overwhelming was of all of the selections and truly was a super star and if I wasn’t just passing through on a business trip I would come here all of the time very helpful staff and very kind! Hope this helps.
My go to local booze store. Great service, friendly staff, fair prices.
Great experience. Killer bottle selection, super knowledgeable bartender (I would steal him if I was still running a bar), and chill atmosphere. Not just scotch/whiskey/rye/bourbon, but also rum and vodka selections are aces.Bonus points for a liquor store next door!
Staff friendly and helpful. Directed me to what I was looking for.
The absolute best liquor store in Tallahassee, and The Lounge is my favorite place for a cocktail or nightcap. Nothing fancy about this place—just an unbelievable selection of whisk[e]y (including single barrels selected by MSL staff) in all its forms/styles, super knowledgeable staff and bartenders, great prices for what you're getting at both the store and the bar. (The Lounge's new outdoor space is *perfect* for pandemic drinking.) Most of the best drinks I've had in Tallahassee have been made here; the bartenders are great at making recommendations, sharing new products/techniques they're working with. My home cocktail game has improved significantly over the years due to this place.Beer selection is very good in most circumstances, but less comprehensive than Beer Stop. Not a huge deal most of the time, but worth noting that liquor really is the specialty here.s
