I love lucky goat and their coffee and pistachio muffins are superior, but this was the first time visiting this location and it just had a dark and gloomy vibe and the baristas acted like I was a problem to the point my mom asked what I did to her after I put my order in.
Stood at the counter for almost 10 minutes waiting for one of the two staff members to stop stocking things to come over and help. Didn’t even get an acknowledgment. I was totally ignore until the next guest walked in. I paid $5 dollars for a water down iced coffee. Don’t mind paying five dollars for a small iced cup of coffee but it better be worth it. Won’t be back
The menu was a bit confusing for this newbie. Is cold brew and iced coffee ☕️ the same? I enjoyed my brown sugar caramel iced latte a lot. Caffeine rush too.
Hands down best coffee in Tallahassee. Located next to Fresh Market in the Village. Priced appropriately based on quality. Service consistently on point, every time. Even if you have to wait, it's always worth it. WAY better than Starbucks. No drive through but great place to relax or just grab and go.
I was driving to my hometown of Pensacola from my current town of Orlando, and I decided to meet up with a friend of mine in Tally. This friend of mine recommended Lucky Goat Coffee for a hangout place, and I was not disappointed. This place had a lot of seating, inside and out. There was a cozy atmosphere afoot that just made you wanna bring in a good book and sit and stay all day long. But alas, I had to get back on the road before too long, so I checked out the menu to see what they had. They have all the usual suspects. I asked what was good and cold and sweet and pumpkiny, and they recommended their special of the day, their version of a pumpkin spice latte. They cater to all drink preferences, including my need for almond milk.It was delicious. They definitely got the message that I wanted sweet and espresso-y. Very flavorful. I had no complaints. But they also have good black coffee, if you're into that kind of thing. I'm not, but it wasn't spit-worthy swill you find in grocery stores.Overall, I enjoyed this place, I love local chains, and I wish it all the best. I will probably be back the next time I stop by to visit my friend.
Went there this weekend for the first time and ordered an iced latte, white chocolate flavored. I know what a latte supposed to taste like. I watched the guy fill it ALL THE WAY UP with HALF/HALF. It was disgusting. Cold half/half is what it tasted like. No white chocolate, no espresso taste at all. Definitely would give 0 stars if that was possible.
This place is small, so the smell of coffee is super concentrated. There's not much place to sit, especially if it's busy, which it seems to be most of the time. This isn't one of those homey coffee shops that you can study at headphoneless, this is an establishment with decent coffee and cool coffee related services. If you know Tallahassee, you know Lucky Goat basically dominates the market here for coffee. It's quite impressive, actually. I love how this shines in their reasonably priced, all-rounder coffee and that you can recycle your coffee bags! More companies need to do that. As for the coffee, like I said, it's pretty decent. I had a single origin that they were offerring at the time that was advertised as being full bodied with a lingering sweetness or something. It hit the mark, but a bit underwhelmingly so. I prefer my own pour-overs with the coffee I get from Trade, but man is Lucky Goat priced beautifully, I may even switch to getting their coffee, It's like half the price of any roaster from Trade. I have to try more before making a full judgement and switch, but it was definitely good enough to go again.
I've been visiting and loving Lucky Goat for years, and I've never had a bad coffee from one is their shops. I typically get the Tallycino or an iced latte. Today, I forgot to order it iced, but at least my latte looks pretty!
Pretty good coffee shop. Came for the first time Monday mid morning and the place was packed. It makes me think no one works because of how packed it was LOL. I ordered the cold brew with vanilla and cream (I forgot the menu name). It was very good. I also ordered a warm blueberry muffin, again delicious. For two large cold brews and a muffin it was $15. Expensive, but worth it.
I gave up caffeine back in early summer for health reasons and after trying a lot of different decaf brands someone recommended Lucky Goat. They offer one that taste amazingly like the real thing and really feeds your soul. Their mountain water processing doesn't make it turn bitter when removing the caffeine. I went into the shop yesterday and found out that they will make any of their drinks fresh for you with their decaf bean. This is a game changer for me!!
