My office placed an order for 15 people without calling ahead. These guys have one cook and they KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK. Well worth the wait, I will definitely give them my business again.
Best falafel I have ever had. Also the most amazing service, always so kind when I go in.
Best Mediterranean food in Tally! Other places have flip flopped in quality but this place is consistent and delicious any day of the week! The lemonade is always a great treat and the lamb gyros are flavorful, warm, and tender. If you're looking for a filling lunch and want to support a small business that really does great work, check these guys out!
Gyros not so good. Very small and not a lot of gyro meat. Tzatziki sauce runny. Cuban don't bother. The iced tea however was great!
This place is spectacular!! The staff was very friendly and the gyro was out of this world. The pita was cooked to perfection, the tzatziki was creamy and perfect, and the gyro meat was thin and fresh. I can't wait for my next visit here. I highly recommend!!
It's an old Egyptian couple that cooks and runs the restaurant. They are very friendly and the food is awesome! Went there for lunch and there were a few regulars that came in to pick up orders. I don't think you'll be disappointed with anything you order from the menu.
The gyros were the best we ever had. We have Greek restsurants in our city but their gyros don't compare.
I have had one gyro at an american restaurant before I came to try this place, and wow. Truly an eye opening experience, a phenomenal gyro one of the best meals I have had. The pita fries were good but a bit greasy so order those with caution but a big fan!
As soon as you walk in you understand that this is a family business that has been operating with the same spirit as they have been 30+ years ago. The floor creaks a bit, and the furniture is all quite old. However, all of this adds a history, charm, and personality that not many places in Tallahassee can say they offer. Not to say that the place isn't relatively clean, though, so I have no qualms about the rusticness of it all. Listen, If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This is most likely the mantra that this restaurant operates on. However, that does not mean there is no room for improvement, as the hummus leaves a lot to be desired. It is, ironically, by far the worst hummus I've ever tried in my life. The two times I tried the hummus it felt like it was sitting for days. There's barely any flavor, and the texture is that of simple ground up chickpeas. It's a shame, because the pita fries are awesome, and they would go great with some smooth hummus and olive oil...How has this place stood the test of time then? It's in the name: their Gyros. Wow, these are amazing. I can only speak for the Vegan one, "The Rocket," and it is super messy, but super delicious. The sauce coats all the ingredients nicely, and there is a unique tangy punch that is softened by the warm and pillowy pita bread it is wrapped in. I can only imagine how the animal-based ones taste, but since both times I came in, Janette was busy with many orders, I can tell it is fantastic. For a price just under $10 and wait times under 5 minutes, you can't go wrong with this place for lunch.
George and wife have been serving great Greek food for over 30 years. I particularly like their Lassa noodle dish. Their Gyros are also very good. Prices are moderate and servings are generous. A lunch favorite.
