Not sure what took me so long to try Las Brazas out, but it is now my favorite Mexican restaurant in Tallahassee. Great food, atmosphere and service. The fish tacos were fantastic, partner also enjoyed the grilled chicken fiesta with onions and peppers. The atmosphere is very light, cheerful and spotless. Very attentive and friendly staff.
My 1st time ever at this restaurant. The people were very polite and helpful. Chips were warm and the salsa was good, very mild. I asked our server to "surprise me" and she welcomed the challenge. What she brought was great. Grilled chicken covered in a queso sauce with rice, refried beans, and avocado. Food was served hot and was well seasoned. I look forward to my next visit.
Experience was terrible!! Came to get a togo order after a long graduation weekend. While ordering I believe the waitress didn’t quite understand me and she looked to another waitress for help who had the nastiest attitude for no reason. After waiting about an hour for the food which was no problem we received our meal which one of my orders was wrong which I guess frustrated them even more. Two of the workers began to speak in Spanish assuming none of us would understand which is ignorant but I will never give my business to this place again. I hope they treat future customers better.
Food was really good but portions were small for the price. My cheesesteak burrito said it came with a side of rice and beans but it did not and when I asked for it, I was told it came by itself. If it’s on the menu they should honor it, $14 for just a burrito is kinda crazy. The birria tacos were really good so I can see why people come but the menu also was contradictory for this item because it said it came with four tacos but then also it said it came with three tacos…they need to fix things on their menus. They also only gave a small spoon of rice, it didn’t feel like a complete meal. The service was painfully slow. We sat and sat. No silverware to eat our food. No refills. No check when asked for. I really don’t think I could go back. Drinks were good.
In a town full of good Mexican restaurants, this place is a gem. The meats were quality in the fajitas and the service was friendly. Great place for lunch.
Was very excited to try this place out, but was very disappointed. I got the quesabirrias. As you can see from the picture it’s not much food and for $16 I would have thought I would get more. The dish was 3 tacos and a little bit of rice. After eating it, I was still hungry and had to cook some more food at home. It felt like an appetizer. Not only that, but they forgot to bag the meat broth, which is the biggest part of the meal. Overall the meat was good, the green sauce (not pictured) was great, and the tomato sauce was ok.
Went in for a lunch and a drink, don't judge we all doing it ? I was looking for a good Mexican food lunch! So, had to pay for the extra for guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, salsa came with chips. Wanted a margarita, they had great reviews. It was $13, sign outside says 3 for 1. After I explained to her I'm from Cali and went to school in San Diego. She was like you should have told me I would have made sure you had the right menu ? I just wanted a good Mexican meal and if you have to lower your standards to freezen peas and carrots, to stay afloat. Keep it 100% real Mexican or Texas Mex, if you're food is good all will come. I did read the reviews and it was all 5 stars, either I'm tripping or y'all north Floridans don't have a clue what is good Mexican food. IJS
I was expecting a better michelada tacos are ok but way too expensive for tacos
Pollo Mex was delicious! They have very good drinks and friendly service. We will go back soon!
The food was good. The service could be better. We sat outside and took awhile for our waitress to come and check on us.
