Kool Beanz is one of the best restaurants in Tallahassee! The food is delicious and artfully prepared. The desserts are absolutely sublime. The last visit I had the pecan floured trout and it was one of the best preparations I have had. We completed our meal with a beautiful dessert that was layered with flavor and texture including bruleed banana, pandan ice cream, coconut cake, and brittle. This is our go to date night restaurant. Great ambiance and service.
Took my mom for an early Mother’s Day lunch today and it was amazing. I’ve been a few times before but it was my moms first visit and she was more than impressed. We started with the maduros appetizer. My mom got the pork belly Bahn mi (SO GOOD!) and I had the pan seared tuna with pea shoot fried rice. We had to end with a dessert and decided on the maple ginger creme brûlée with raspberries and OHMYGOODNESS! We left so full and happy and with zero leftovers if that says anything. Ben was our server and he helped make the whole experience great. Kool Beanz is a must eat in Tallahassee.

This place offers a daily menu. It can be a bit of hit or miss, but usually real good. Get the Mahi if they have it, Prices are reasonable and service is friendly.
My husband and I arrived around 6:30 on a Thursday and were immediately seated even though the parking lot was full. We had the fried calamari as a starter and the shrimp linguini as a main course. Both were very good, but the star of the evening was the dessert! We had a cream brûlée and a panna cotta. They were excellent! The service was a little slow between courses, but I’m sure that’s due to how busy they were. This is one of our favorite restaurants, and even though it is an hour drive for us, we will continue to go every chance we get.
Very kind server with a great deal of southern hospitality. Food was good, appetizer was ok, and desert was great. Little pricier than I hoped. Will visit again during my next time in Tallahassee. Definitely recommend.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I took my dad here and he loved it! Our waiter was very funny and gave amazing recommendations. Vibrant vibes, great experience.

Ate lunch here today. I have visited several times since they first opened years ago. The food was always good but it seemed that it was even better today. I decided upon the Shrimp linguini with Tasso ham & mushrooms topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. It was absolutely amazing! The place was busy but my server stayed attentive. I saw the manager/hostess walking around stopping by tables greeting people & chatting it up. For some reason she never made it by my table which seemed VERY strange. ??♀️ The ending to my meal was a Tres Leches Cake beautifully accented with fresh berries and a guava topping. I consider myself a tres leches connoisseur! And honestly, this one had too much milk and not enough flavoring in the cake. The bread was mushy, soggy and that should not be. I’m taking 1 star off because the tres leches wasn’t quite right. I will order it again but request 1/3 of the milk be left off.
