The food quality and service has gone down hill. I take my business to the other location on capital circle and get an amazing experience every time now. This location has turned into a bar with horrible service. I've waited over 45 minutes to even get my order compared to the other locations. I hope they care enough and can fix their problems*edit*I noticed that the owner is excusing bad service for lack of employees. How is that when there are 5 people on the register yet the server hasn't bothered to care for the dinners. I'll never go back here. Btw, if you want great service and good quality food, go down the street to the next location on capital circle. I've never had an issue there. Apparently it's run by a different owner. I'd much rather give them my money than this crumbling hole in the wall that just wants your money
If I had it my way, hobbit definitely wouldn't be my first pick. but my kids love the place and don't always understand what horrible service consists of...there is hardly ever a manager available to assist on the floor. They are generally always in the office or outside doing who knows whatever leaving the servers and cashiers to basically run the front. I generally visit hobbit frequently because of their wing specials and I generally always have some type of issue so if it was any average day, I'd most definitely leave a 1 star BUT my recent experience blew me off of my feet. As always the server was just there because she was scheduled but when I had an issue, to my surprise there was a manager available. I had saw the young lady running around the store as if she was Sonic or something. Not only was she in the kitchen, she was taking phone orders as she ran the front counter assisting walk in guest and I definitely did not think that's she was a manager. I was stunned because I never see service like this. It's understandable that staffing is short so wait times are longer but it is ridiculous to wait nearly and hour for your food and then when it comes out it's cold. The server acted insensitive but the Manager Mika, when she came over after I requested management was VERY apologetic. She ensured me that she would get it right and she did just that. I heard her talking to the kitchen staff in a stern but nice manner, straight up asking them if they would send the cold item out to one of their family members....She definitely went above and beyond to make sure that my service was top notch the remainder of the time I was in the restaurant. She frequently checked on my table as well as other tables throughout the restaurant. She just seems like a fair manager and a great person to work with or for. I tried tipping her for her amazing service but she definitely refused it and suggested that I give it to the server. You don't find many people like that in customer service now a days. Mika is awesome and she will make sure you have and enjoyable visit if she is on duty. #It was her presence for me!
I go here all the time. Best wings around hands down. Also best pretzel bites. Casey is the best bartender. Awesome guy and great drinks.
Great local bar. Wish I would have known about it sooner I would have been here the whole year I spent in Florida. Great homemade dressings... And the Hobbit toast is very interesting ;-)
I go here quite often as I love the food. I walked in on Sunday with my gal, about 1pm. Ordered a beer for her and a Pepsi for myself. Now there was only 1 bartender which is not unheard of. She brought her beer and all of a sudden GONE? I figured maybe she needed to change the tank or something. Almost 10 min whent by & when I caught her attention she was seeing to someone . I very nicely inquired aelsebout my soda. She gave me the dirtiest look and said "I HAVE OTHER TABLES TOO" in the nastiest way possible. Mind you she never said anything earlier about being short handed which I would have understood. People get busy, I get that. However the way she went about it was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! I paid for the 1 beer and went to waffle house for a smile and good service. I spent $2.50 at hobbit when I was ready to spend my usual $100 + on a good day eating and drinking there. Had she been even the slightest bit of professional I would have understood and waited patiently for anything. Because the way she snapped at me for her being overworked after lunch time. I find it real difficult to return here. I have been going there for the past 3 years & I spend upwards of $75 each time I go. However I was not going to be abused for something I didn't do. So I left. Have not been baxk yet. (Little background...I come from the service industry she only had maybe 6 tables? And could not do it. If I was her manager I would have FIRED her on the spot for being so unprofessional to a good customer)
If I could give a negative I would, ordered 10 wings and fries was told 25-30 minutes. Showed up after 30 minutes was told 15 more, waited for 30 minutes and the order still wasn't ready. Wasn't busier than usual and five people came in and got their order after I was waiting, some poor lady had been there an hour and still hadn't gotten her order. Staff didn't even acknowledge me when I was trying to flag them down for a refund.
I am a huge LOTR fan so I was excited to try this place out, my game group is in the market for a new weekly meetup and I thought I'd check it out. Unfortunately, I was extremely let down. The manager is kind of rude but maybe he was having a bad day, and the microwave food wasn't worth the high price at all. No quality control. Clearly this company can't be associated with the LOTR franchise because there's no way this would pass standards.
Food arrived ice cold. There was no pub cheese, barely any pork. I'm not impressed with the food for the price. Maybe it's different if you dine in. But, I wouldn't recommend delivery.
You will find this amusing but my favorite thing here is the Veggie Basket and Blue cheese!!With that the Wings or French Dip Sandwich. Huge selection of sandwiches and meals, including a kids menu.Tell them Todd recommends, and you want the veggie basket and French Dip with fries. :)
I will NOT be back.Went for a lunch date today, my husband had the dryest chicken strip on a sandwich without any condiments. He asked for some mustard and we were charged $0.79 for it.I had the burger which was a thin precooked patty that'd been defrosted and served. Our food was cold, flavorless, and just tasted horrible. Even the "toasted" buns felt like they'd been refrigerated.To top everything off, my husband has spent the remainder of the day in the bathroom with stomach pain from food poisoning.The server girl with the weave and fake lashes was very sweet though, but it made perfect sense why she never bothered to ask "how is everything tasting," she must know how awful it really is.
