When you want to go out and everyone wants something different, go to Golden Corral on North Monroe Street. Make sure to say hello to some of the most committed and friendly managers that I know, Tiffany and Melissa. There's a little bit of everything for everyone. As you can see from the picture, Tiffany is not scared to help her crew when they need it. She cooked this steak for my husband who is a very finicky steak person.....and he was pleased. The food & service was subpar!! The Host was very energetic & had a very positive attitude. The server was not attentive at all. I later realized it was due to extremely short staff, with a restaurant almost at capacity there were only 5 visible servers!!
The food had been sitting out for a long time, dried out and disgusting. The baked fish was raw. The mashed potatoes were cold, the gravy like jello. I barely put any food on my plate and what I did was awful. One bite of each item. That was enough. We left disappointed and hungry.
I went to Golden Coral on 7/4/22 at around 8:15pm. The store doesn't close until 9:30pm. All the food on the buffet was old and dried out like it had been sitting out there for hours. The employees were complaining as customers were coming in. I paid $35 for 2 people and was not able to get my money worth. It was such a disappointment. Instead of staff trying to prep food for the customers they were fixing plates for themselves in to go plates and on their cellphones. After this bad experience I don't think I'll ever dine in again at this establishment. The better business bureau will be notified of this.
After saying I would never go back a couple years ago; we gave it another chance. Sad to say it was even more disappointing. The food was not fresh and most of the buffet was empty. I waited for 30 min to see if they would replenish some of the meats and still nothing. The food we were able to get was cold and not good. The plates were dirty. The entire restaurant was dirty. Went to use the restroom it was unusable, we just decided to leave. I am never going back. Do better Golden Corral.
Terrible service, terrible attitudes.
I will never eat there again. I remembered this place before COVID. The grilled steak was so tuff that the knives they gave us wouldn't cut it. The veggies were canned and tasteless. Salad bar was missing several items. No seafood salad, little to no fruit. Desert bar was even worse. They had frozen ice cream but No hot chocolate,No hot Carmel, no strawberries etc... I wasted money on gas to drive out of the way to go there for my birthday!! Shut the place down if that is what fresh food should look and taste like.
This was the first Golden Corral I'd ever visited - I'm not big on buffets. But they had counter after counter of homestyle, country & classic dished and sides - good hushpuppies - broccoli soup was amazingly tasty - spinach at the huge salad bar - and the largest dessert bar I've ever seen! Great place for less than $10 w/soda. Loved it!
I love that they offer so many different food that everyone can be happy no matter their tastes! This makes it easy to go for dinner with a family who cannot agree on what they want. Everyone here is also so very nice and the prices are so reasonable.
Me and my daughter used a coupon that was sent to our house. I am a big fan but the food did not look fresh. We went for dinner on a Sunday. There was hardly anything on the buffet. I will not go to this location again unless they do much better.
