I’m just going to start out by saying,, I’ve 100% had better pizza elsewhere,, but.. you come here not for the pizza, but for the experience instead.. the vibes here are just great. The pizza is something you’d put in the category of bar food. As if you’re going out to an establishment that is mainly catered to drinks but they also sold one food item. But besides the food, the energy here is just incredible. Family friendly environment! You order at the counter and fill your own drinks. Fun fun fun! And you get to keep the cup the drink came in.. Very nice place :)
Really great pizza. We tried several of their specialty pies 10” and one 14”pepperoni. We got the Saucy Minx and the One with Everything on it. Loads of toppings and we loved the perfectly chewy crust. The pizza was delivered fast, hot and it was delicious. Recommend 10/10 and will try more of their specialty pies.
All the pies here are great!! You cannot go wrong.
The pizza was supper thin. Overcooked. I could barely eat the pizza. I only came there because of the reviews. Disappointment at its finest. They only getting three star pass because it was Saturday and packed. I waited far to long for food to be that hard. They had vegan options
Called up to order some food, was super hungry! I read the Smitty ingredients and my mouth was watering ! I'm glad I ordered and it was delivered super fast across the road to my hotel at the Residence Inn ! Thank you so much to everyone here, the driver also who took the time to bring me my pie ! Can't wait to have more !
I visited my friend in Tallahassee and she raved about this pizza place. We order at 11pm and called multiple times to see an update on arrival. I have never had this problem before. A pizza should t take 4 hours to make and deliver. Not worth it
There was an issue with a delivery order. They made it right. We got a great pizza. You should too. We've probably had their pizza 50 times over the years. The very few times that there has been any sort of issue, they've always taken care of whatever it was in the best way possible.
This was our first time trying this place. Both of our pizzas were over cooked/burnt. The crust is already thin so being over cooked it was like a thin dry piece of cheese bread. The cheese pizza barely had any sauce or cheese on it. For the price, this was really unacceptable. I didn’t have the energy to call and fuss about it, but I wouldn’t order from here again based on first impression. The only thing that was decent was the calzone and that gave the review the two stars. I’m willing to pay a little extra for good pizza, but this was not worth all that money.
Ok so I’ve had these pies before and after becoming vegan and both of them were fire. I’m so grateful that a place like this exists in Tallahassee. Great pizza at great prices that isn’t garbage papa john or domino’s. The rise of local pizzarias is happening and I think Gaines St Pies is spearheading it. At least for the vegans out there. The temptation pizza is my favorite vegan pizza that I’ve ever had (in the united states). It is rich and creamy, yet sweet and tangy. It’s a classic pizza experiece, but it feels like a gorumet one, and it hits. Every. Time. What doesn’t hit every time is the ordering experience however. 2/3 times I asked and paid for extra vegan “cheese” on the boring custom pizza I ordered to compare Gaines St Pies to the other two pizza joints that offer vegan options (Uncle Maddio’s and Decent) I just never got the extra “cheese.” I don’t complain because it’s great anyways, but it took me putting EXTRA CHEESE PLEASE on every special order box in all caps like 10 times for me to get the extra cheese haha. It’s just something to note. Ironically, this isn’t reflected in the customer service which is usually great. The location, layout, and decor is fantastic as well. This is my favorite pizza place. I’m loyal to them, so please keep experimenting with more vegan style pizzas! This is my vote for that!!!
