I’ve been coming here for years. Recently went in for a muffin and asked if they also had cake, the lady behind the counter immediately had an attitude about it saying she didn’t know. She went to the back where the chef asked her to bring the cake out to the front. Then after looking at the options I politely declined the cake because I I didn’t like any of the flavors which she then had more attitude about “you made me carry all this cake here and you’re not even going to buy it” then she turned to the other customer behind me talking about me...I bought the muffin but will never return here. It’s sad because small businesses have a hard enough time as is but if you’re treating customers like this it makes it even harder.
Excellent southern cooking. I had the liver with yellow rice, mac and cheese, and collard greens. No complaints at all.
I realized that they buy sam’s club muffins and say that they’re homemade, on top of selling them for 3.50 each when the whole box is about the same price…why pay almost $4 for a muffin when i can get the whole box for the same price, please stop claiming that those muffins are homemade only a fool would believe that
My dad and I each had a simple homemade breakfast. It was delicious.
I have ate here for many, many years. I have really enjoyed it. However, a week ago there was a woman working the front that wears her mask below her mouth while Hocking up lugis and cleaning out her nasal cavity. This is gross and a big turn off. When confronted about this, she just waved bye to us... I'm sure the owner doesn't even know about this.
Woman behind counter didn't have mask up on mouth and nose. She was cleaning out her nose by Hocking up lugis while serving food. When brought up to her attention she just waved me off. Said bye to me. This place place just lost 2 really good customers forever.
Food is pretty good and southern consistently except they didn't give the "Monday" price on Monday at lunch and turned off the water to the whole building but didn't notify by putting a sign on the bathroom or water fountain (so when we got soap on our hands to wash them, they acted like we were crazy for asking for any version of water to rinse them off....) so I can't give them the highest rating since the service isn't thoughtful....
Always the best food and very friendly service, highly recommended
Heard good things about the place and its' food. I decided to try it for breakfast. I am a vegetarian, so I ordered the pancakes. They were made with a yellow-colored batter and were burned. Safe to say, this will probably be first and only trip to Earley's. I had high hopes that did not materialize.
Delicious southern home cooked comfort food. Tallahassee staple. Different specials and menu everyday. Check their website for menu or just go, you can't go wrong with any of the selections.
