I have driven by this place multiple times but I never actually went in. I didn't even KNOW there was an inside, I thought it was just picnic tables outside. I was wrong. Inside was amazing. Love the ambience. They were VERY busy for lunch but all three wait staff took the time to come over to ask me if I needed anything while I waited for my son to arrive. That was very cool and a clue that the restaurant truly cares about their customers. My food was also quite good. Parking can be a challenge which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Go check the place out.
It is illegal to sell "Grouper" in Florida, unless it's actually Grouper. I ordered the Grouper sandwich, and it was a small TILAPIA fillet! I've been a fisherman for over 40 years, I know fish. This was an entire fillet of a small fish. Had the tail and rib bone section. It was NOT a chunk of a Grouper fillet cut to proportion size. I discussed with the server, and he said it had to be Grouper. It is not. The picture also proves that.

We had an amazing first experience at Birds Aphrodisiac! It's definitely worth the hype it gets - because those were the best Oysters I've had in town. Very fresh, no grainy texture and they were huge! My Husband got the Burger and the patty was massive and juicy. We sat outside and it was a lovely little atmosphere sitting outside with the mural and plants around us.Birds also has different events, like music and burlesque acts, and I think that's awesome as well!Definitely a gem in Tallahassee.Only thing I'd suggest that could be better is parking - We would have been here a long time ago, but a few times when we tried...the parking lot was completely packed. You can tell it's a highly desired spot!
Picked up multiple to go orders for the office. Asked for ketchup and condiments, only to be assured they were already in the bag (tied up) by the female bartender that gave us the orders.After driving back across town, we find at the office there were a couple of ketchup packets in one order.The rest of the orders fries and burger were dry and salty with condiments. Ruined the entire meal.Employees should check before promising they have handled a customer’s request.
Cool experience, we went for comedy night. Packed and had to order at the bar but it wasn’t a bad thing. Food was prompt and made to order. Awesome oysters just very very small. The burgers were massive and juicy. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because whoever was in charge of salt/seasoning over salted the food to the point it was not edible. It’s like we were eating the burger and it was awesome but then toward one side of it it became over powering in salt and I could not eat it; it was a little disappointing. I would still go back and hope it didn’t happen again because the food was good!
It was empty when we got there on a Friday, then filled up fast. The oysters were great. We sat outside and were thankful for the heaters. The chicken is good. It's fun but not one bit fancy..
