1st time eating lunch here_ carryout and was not disappointed. We ordered the ox tails with white rice, collar green, yams, Butterbean and omg the corn bread was delicious and moist and I usually don't eat bread ? buffet style with a variety... we stopped in on a Sunday ?☝️ no pictures once I tasted, it was over.

I I reside in Tallahassee Florida. I happen to have grown up eating the kind of foods that this restaurant repairs. I have very little complaints about the food however I've ordered from this restaurant twice in the last year and each time I've been sent an incomplete order. Each time I've ordered through Uber and the results were the same. The food I have no complaints about it's accepting really good. However the service and attention to detail as completely flown out of the window on this restaurant. I am African-American and I love to patronize African-American restaurants however if this is the kind of service I should expect from this restaurant they'll never be hearing from me again.

Definitely don’t deserve a star at all. I’m here From NJ and this food was awful coming from the south. The turkey wings was unsatisfying on top of white soggy greasy rice. The Mac &cheese was horrible tart taste , green, yams & cornbread was probably the only ok tasting. I also got banana pudding just throw it in the trash !!!! Btw I don’t even write reviews but I had to give them one please do better !!!

If i could give this place ZERO STARS i would. Today me and friend ordered oxtail plates which totaled up to $50. When we started to eat our food we realized the food was cold and didn’t taste well. The oxtail gravy was a hard consistency and the rice was stuck together in a block, the mac n cheese tastes sour like it was made days ago and when we called her with this issue and said the food was cold she automatically said “its fresh” (lol literally snitched on herself) and then told us to put our meals in the microwave like we didn’t pay $50 for it.and looking at the rest of the reviews it seems like no one else is too fond of this place too and seeing the “owner” deny and go back and forth over TURE allegations is pure childish and shows professionalism is absent. instead of offering another plate or a refund she didn’t take accountability for her own actions SMH FYI since you apparently don’t know if multiple people have the same issues you are the problem!

paid $50 for cold oxtails and rice, you can tell it was old because it was jelly like and rice was hard and stuck together called and told her she said it was fresh and to go home and put it in the microwave and heat it up…. like what lol?and the mac and cheese lord SOUR like it was made with old sour cream or something cheese wasn’t even melted.edit: how did I lie? i think that’s just how you reply to everyone’s comment. but yea definitely didn’t lie how do you serve cold food off a hot bar doesn’t make sense food from last night because I came as soon as y’all opened.

Ordered the pork chop dinner with Lima beans and field peas. Delish. Pork chop was tender and tasty. Veggies perfectly cooked. Def great comfort food.

Restaurant fraudulently adds money to credit card charges. Says they can't print a receipt. Look at the reviews if you don't believe me. If they're willing to commit credit card fraud, what do you think they're doing to your food? Don't give your business to criminals when there are so many other honest restaurants in Tallahassee.

The oxtail and macaroni was a NO for me … like HELL NO. I’m super disappointed. I’d love to continue supporting though. Please develop a new oxtail recipe and dead the shell macaroni. Didn’t even wanna give it a one star but it’s the only way I could post.

I ordered fried chicken, candied yams, cabbage, and pound cake. It's was overall a good meal, it wasn't nasty, it wasn't spectacular either. The cake was delicious. It is walking distance from FAMU campus so as a student It is convenient and perfect for when I get bored with eating in the school café and I don't have a car or want to spend money on doordash.

the food was discussing!! i have eaten here once before a while back and it was discussing but decided to give it another try to see if it had approved any!! greens was over cooked!! mac & cheese was sour cabbage bland rice was sour!! potatoe pie was sour and strawberry cake tasted like green juice!! i wasted 45 dollars on two plates oh and dressing was sweet!! just need to be closed down to be honest!! i rated i star to drop a review otherwise they get no stars!!
