First time at this location yesterday and the service was just not good. The ladies are extremely slow with no enthusiasm to serve customers. A man that seemed to be in management came from the back and had to tell 1 of the women "hey there are customers" and proceeded to take customers himself. His attitude was good but unfortunately he was severing others and I was stuck with a lady that should never be in food service. My husband said the Oxtails was good but my stew peas was extremely overcooked and the jerk pork was hard and dry so I was disappointed after spending $41.
Good Jamaican dishes, but suffer from typical Jamaican mentality. Choices start finishing at 5pm just when people leave work.
For a restaurant whose sole purpose is to serve customers sure need to retrain the staff to be more attentive! For a restaurant that is renovated to be nice and spacious inside, but only to skip serving customer who has been standing waiting for more than 10mins is ludicrous. Clearly, the message is "your money is no good here." And on top of that to be told you are not standing in the right spot to be served is just plain rude and obnoxious!
Food is pretty descent however Drive Thru customer service is really terrible, basically got shouted at by a worker at the window
I enjoy going to sunset stripe dutchpot. The staff is always friendly, the food already good. My Wednesday special spot. Soup soup and more soup.One of the thing I notice and love is the cleanliness of the staff. Each serving they wash their hands. I wish most restaurants would do the same.
So my mom is a bit forgetful and went for a walk to the park on sunset strip. Somehow she ended up at Dutch Pot (where I normally buy her lunch). The staff took such good care of her. They helped her call me and let her sit inside until I arrived. This makes me a permanent customer. Not to mention the food is always ???
I will never eat here again not only because of the maggot outrage the other location had but the service is horrible. Older Jamaican women feel they need to be rude to serve FOOD? Like I don't get it. Anyways I was only picking up food and even that was a hassle. There's no sign saying we need a mask but I was told to LEAVE because I was maskless. Returned and the order still wasn't ready. Then they tried to give the wrong order, all while being rude. Like FOR WHAT???? It's funny but it's not... I literally told Uber not to send me orders from this location anymore that's how bad it was. Like I offended them by walking in to pickup an order. I'm so confused.
Great little spot. They were opened for breakfast while others were closed.
We ordered the brown stew fish and it did not taste right at all.. almost tasted spoiled or something. Which sucks because the dish is almost $20. Very disappointed.
Dutch pot for Jamaican food has my stamp of approval authentic cuisine!
