Meh mediocre grub Biscuits no gravy huh? Meatloaf no gravy??? Usually good ,different stores different quality I guess Service was fine although
Dropped in with an hour left in the evening. Had to wait about 5 minutes for someone to show up at the greeters area.Once I got in the waitress was nice. I picked up a country fried steak, green beans, and Mac. The sides were great. The country fried steak had some chunks of gristle that was a real turn off mixed in. Also the newer style crust most of the cracker barrels are using wasn't used here. Most use the pork chop/chicken crust and the meal tastes much better and crunchier.Not bad but not great.
I never thought I would write a negative review of a Cracker Barrel. We have been to many across the South as we travel and have always enjoyed the Stuart FL location near our home in Jupiter, FL. But, Easter Sunday 4/17/22 things were different. The problem was simple: my scrambled eggs were cooked well done as an overcooked glob. I had ordered soft scrambled. When I brought my complaint to the attention of the originally very kind server, Vicki, she turned weird. "That's the way they make 'em. If I take 'em back they're coming back the same way." I simply said I want soft scrambled. She took them away and soon returned with the same eggs. They had simply chopped them up and put them on a different plate. I put them to the side. My wife and I ate what was edible of our food and started to the register in the store to pay. The manager, at least I assume he was, sidled up beside me and said in a very commanding voice "I cancelled your check. You don't have to pay. You upset my server. She's very upset and I just want you to leave right now. Just leave."It was a first for me. I've never been asked to leave anywhere before. I wish I had been thrown out of a better place than a Cracker Barrel just for the sake of making the experience more meaningful.I was never nasty to the server, who was a rather pathetic figure of advanced age with an obvious spinal condition rendering her hunched over. As a 72 year old myself I observed she probably needed that job and needed to work on Easter Sunday. That's sad, but no excuse for whatever she may have told her manager. At no time did I blame her for the food problem. That's a kitchen issue. Perhaps she's just a miserable person. I hope not. I wish her only good. And, I wish that manager somehow learns proper techniques of management or finds employment where public contact is not part of the job.
You can never go wrong with this iconic, American restaurant chain.Each one has its own unique relics based on the location.The food was delicious and you can't beat the quality. They could charge more and I would gladly pay.The service was a little slow but I'll give them a pass since everyone is short-handed these days.HIGHLY RECOMMEND
First, truth be told, CBOCS has always been a welcome refuge whenever we have traveled the highways and byways of our beautiful country. Now to he ripping off of the bandage: Nightly they have reasonably priced specials. Our favorite it their Thursday dinner special - Roast Turkey (breast), famous Sweet Potato Casserole, Stuffing, with choice of country side. Oh, and don’t forget your choice of Corn Bread or country muffin/biscuit. Here’s the problem. On our last three Thursday visits (over the past 5 weeks), we arrive between 5:15 and 5:30. On visit 1…we ordered, drinks and bread choices were served only to be told “we have no more turkey. The dining room was far, far from busy. Because we were pretty early I asked whether the food was simply still being prepared. The server replied no, but that turkey they had was being held for Take Out orders. A couple of weeks later we needed a treat, so we gave it another try. So, our visit 2…Bingo! We had a great meal. We left satisfied and looking forward to our next visit which we did March 31. We arrived at 5:20. We were seated in their first dining area. There were three previously seated parties: a couple, a group of 6, and a party of 4. Knowing exactly what we wanted we ordered promptly. The waitress took our order, returned with our silverware and drinks and left. She returned pretty promptly with the news that they had ‘run out of sweet potato casserole.’ I felt bad for her…how does management not inform their staff that they are running low of or out of their ‘specialty items.’ Such incompetence leads me to question what other kitchen controls might be missing. Let the buyer beware.
This was my first time ever to a Cracker Barrel. I went with friends and had the grilled catfish with scrambled eggs and must admit that it was pretty good. The staff members were really friendly and my experience was great. I even purchased a battery operated snow globe at their store.
We have not been to this Cracker Barrel in a couple of years but both the food and the service were just as I remembered. Our server was excellent. She was right on top of everything. Our dinners were very good. We will be back
Slow service, eggs were supposed to be basted came out cold and just about hard boiled.
I got a cup of coffee with lipstick this morning. I was given plastic fork and a knife in a package. My husband was given watery latte. The waitress was uncaring and did not seem to pay attention to any detail of her job. She did not seem to know which menus to give. I had lunch and dinner. I do not like the customer service or cleanliness they offer. It was horrible.
We love our local carcker barrel!! We usually dine in and aleays receive great service. Also love visiting the gift shop either while waiting for a table or after our meal. Definitely a comfort food dining establishment. The decor always is so much fun to look at as well. We used uber eats to get our cracker barrel dinner delivered to us last night. It was definitely a pleasant surprise. Its always hit or miss when getting food delivered. However, our food was still HOT when it arrived and tasty as always. We were very pleased with this delivery service as well as the execution from the cooks at cracker barrel. Awesome job everyone!!!
