Walking into the half baked potato you will immediately notice great artwork filling the walls and the artwork is all also for sale. Ozzy will brighten your day with funny banter and jokes and truly transformed our dinner into an experience. Ozzy was also asking fun trivia questions in exchange for delicious cookies and the whole restaurant was laughing and energized. There are plenty of 420 references around the place. Also, as soon as we cashed out we were told we should go check out the bathroom…my girlfriend was already taking videos of the cool lights and design of the bathroom by the time I got back there…a must see! But enough about how great the environment was; let’s talk about the food.The Half Baked Potato offers massive loaded potatoes, hot dogs, ramen, Pierogis, and more. The potato options seem endless and have something for anyones taste, and if you can’t decide just tell Ozzy what you like and let him decide for you. There are a lot of funny menu item names to keep you laughing while you decide; I ordered the reverse cowgirl potato. Definitely come hungry because you will have so much food to tackle when you get there.A must stop for the atmosphere and unique experience…it’s right on central in st.Pete so you’re around all kinds of nearby fun.
We visited this evening with a group of friends and had an absolutely AMAZING experience! Every single thing we had from the Potatoes, perogies, ramen, blue raspberry lemonade, to the special chocolate Tea that was made for us was beyond delicious. The atmosphere was awesome and we truly enjoyed the fun, relaxed, and friendly vibe!
My 1st visit & I wasn’t disappointed! Thank you Ozzy for the “fluffed up” Banana Hammock! So fun & yummy! The hot dogs were delicious and we LOVED the Reverse Cowgirl. We will definitely be back!
Every time this place is a fun food experience. Try something outside of the regular baked potato and you won't be disappointed. Portions are huge! Hot dogs are amazing too!
The food was amazing and the chef made this an experience we won’t forget. Between the ramen, the sauces, the samples, the drinks, and the hot dogs, we had a great meal here. Something for everyone, and if you love spicy foods, this place is a must. We’ll be back soon and look forward to trying more on the menu!
Finally made it to the Half Baked Potato where we spent $52 on two potatoes, a hot dog, and two bottled waters. Eating there made me wish I had the munchies so I could've fully appreciated the food & huge portions! The hot dog was our favorite item; we discovered that the potatoes weren't our thing, although they certainly looked great. It was so warm inside that we began sweating once we started eating and it was really uncomfortable which is the main reason for only three stars. I felt like $50+ was a lot for potatoes in a college dorm room fever dream counter service restaurant without the AC on. I'd recommend eating outside because it's baking hot inside.

The servings are huge and full of flavor! The owner is an amazing guy with a passion for potatoes! I want to try everything on the menu. There is something for the whole family. A fun concept and friendly service. Everything was fresh and cooked/seasoned perfectly.
Visiting St Petersburg. Needed a bite to eat. This place is AMAZING! I had a chili dog- giant mouth watering hot dog drenched in chili, onion and mustard, all for $7.00. My friend got the potato in the photo- that’s half of what she got, all for $13.00. The young couple who own the restaurant are charming and bring their classic culinary training to an American staple.A visit to the Tampa area will be made better by a stop at The Half Baked Potato on Central Avenue
We have been coming here for months now all the way from Sarasota to try their new potatoes that they have each month and they now have Ramen ? and OMG it is the best in St Pete this place never stops surprising me. Friendly staff and the owner is so nice. I definitely recommend stopping here if your ever in the St Pete area.
