The flavor is on point. However, both the jerk chicken sandwich and the brown stew chicken were full of loose bones throughout which made it super awkward and to be honest gross to eat. I’m not talking thick bones either, like thin bones that can be a hazard when eating it.
You must visit! The BEST OXTAILS, I've ever had! And I can cook. LolBest service, best Island food! Get a mango/ passion fruit juice also! Lord, My tummy was so HAPPY! I felt like an island girl!
Food was okay but they're very rude. They don't give you your receipt just give you prices without a menu to compare. They need to learn about customer service because it's not a big business.
Went here after seeing raving reviews of the taste of the food. I got the goat curry meal which came with goat curry, rice, cabbage, and plantains.The goat curry had really good flavor, but unfortunately a lot of it was big chunks of tough meat. The rice was delicious!The staff at the front was not the friendliest person I’ve encountered. Putting a friendly engaging staff at the front would definitely elevate the experience.Overall not a bad place, I would be back to try some of the other items.
Good food bad service. They have salads on their menu but it’s never available when you order. Order was wrong I asked for jerk pork and they gave me jerk chicken and dude behind the counter was rushing me to pay for my food when I was trying to get exact change for him (mind you I waited in line for 10-15 mins) i won’t be coming back.
Great tasting Caribbean food and you definitely get your monies worth? Can decide between 2 meats? Get both like I do, it's called a combo plate!!
I actually found this place accidentally after the restaurant we were going to up the block was closed for a private event, but I’m so glad they were. I been looking for authentic Caribbean food since moving from Nyc to Fl. This spot definitely will be seeing allot more of me. I got the curry goat and my boyfriend got the oxtails. Both were amazing. Flavors was on point ! I would give you guys 10 stars if I could because even tho it was an hour til closing service was fast and the food was fresh! Can’t wait to visit again
Listen, I drove around Tampa and St. Petersburg looking for my people's food, and one after the other these restaurants disappointed me - to the point, my daughter didn't want to eat any more Jamaican food. Sid's Caribbean Grill saved the day! Flavor-full and a big dinner portion. I will gladly recommend this place and will revisit everytime I am in town.
