Phenomenal Portillo's location! Portillo's in Florida can definitely be hit or miss in terms of quality and this location does not disappoint. The staff are on point and professional. The menu items are mainly American but some cultural foods from Eastern and Central Europe. Always great. This location is very new and clean. Some of the negative reviews can be explained by growing pains with a new franchise, and judging by the experience I had today they have improved significantly. There might be a problem for some: they only have paper straws. Aside from that, this location is fantastic.

Awesome and delicious!!! Chicago's unrivaled street food. Wow! Customer service was great, drive thru lane was quick. Nice and clean. Chocolate Cake Shake is a MUST!!! Good prices!

Stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner. It has a 50s dinner feel with offerings of charcoal burgers, hot dogs, shakes, cold beer, etc. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The fries were crinkle cut, but not as crispy as I would like. The charcoal burger was very good. Overall, I recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Check it out!

Husband is originally from Chicago (42 years ago!), and loves Portillo’s hot dogs and Italian Sausage. We’ve been to the one in Chicago, to one outside of Chicago, and we’ve frequented the ones in Brandon and Tampa. This is our first lunch in the St. Petersburg location, and we were not disappointed. There is plenty of parking if you are staying for a meal, or if you are just picking up. Inside, it’s bright, clean, and the decor is out of the 50s. The Florida touches are perfect! We didn’t wait long - 2 friendly, efficient cashiers were taking orders.Instead of our usual hot dog orders, Husband got the Italian Sausage. He asked for extra gravy, but did not need it. It was perfect! I had the burger that was bigger than the bun & it came with lettuce, mayonnaise, and pickle — hold the tomato. We split a large fries. Everything was delicious. We took our time eating so as to savor every bite.We have a new excuse to drive an hour south and THIS restaurant is the excuse and reason!

Wow! Is what I can say about Portillo's Hot Dogs. I love those Chicago-style hot dogs they have! They are so delicious and they also have the cheesesteaks and all the desserts! They even serve beer and wine! If you want the taste of Chicago-style hot dogs that are just as original, then you need to come down and Portillo's here in Tyrone Square. They do have plenty for parking, and a lot of handicap parking as well yeah, but it can get a little crowded. You can still Park in the parking lot of Tyrone Square and easily access Portillo's. They also have a drive-thru. Their staff is very quick at taking orders and you can watch your order being processed as you wait which is very helpful. Once your order is done you are clearly notified by Speaker or monitor. The dining room has a really cool retro look to it and also has plenty of tables and booths to sit inside. They also have a plentiful amount of tables for outside dining as well. They have really good desserts! Chocolate cake and lemon cake! To name a few. I will definitely be coming back here soon!

Went during opening week, crazy busy. But the staff made it happen! Myself and 5 others had a combination of burgers, steak sandwiches and hotdogs. Burgers were huge, hot dog was delicious, the steak sandwich was a little deceiving to order....came with peppers etc...when I complain they said you have to ask for it when you order...but the gave up a nice dish full of peppers, onions and etc at no extra charge. Everyone left with full stomachs. Will be back. Sorry about the picture of the food leftovers of lack of. Highly recommend trying.

We love Chicago dogs so I was excited to review it.The drive-thru line wasn't that bad but it wasn't quick.I ordered three jumbo Chicago dogs. After I paid they told me they ran out of hot jumbo dogs. And I would have to wait 15 minutes for them to be cooked. Or they gave me another option is to double the regular size dogs. I agree and wasn't really for sure what they meant. I thought they were going to give me six regular Chicago dogs. Nope they doubled the dogs on the small bun, which made it really crowded for adding all the veggies and toppings ?.When taking bites I had to squeeze it together so everything wouldn't fall out ?.It tasted traditional and was very good. I would definitely go back.I think a lot of people were confused when they first opened thinking it was a little more high-end fast food. It's not a McDonald's but it's not a Chili's either. It's still fast food.

It was very busy at lunch. The line was long but it went fast. I order a #1 comb, #5 comb and 2 cheeseburgers. When I got the order it was only have 4 items. I told the guy that I order a combo and he told me that their menu is single order only, everything is individually ordered. The cashier and the guy giving me the food said the same but it clearly say in the menu that it a combination. She rang me up as individual item so I got what I paid for but it was not what I ordered.Make sure you check your orders before you go pick the food. If not, you have you have to go back in line a second time. The foods was good. The service was bad. They need to train the workers to know the menu.

New facility. Well staffed. Food was hot & fresh. Will return soon. Love the Burgers!

Edit 2: the location is full open, same vibe and taste as back in Chicago, well doneEdit: they are now offering food wjile it is under construction. It literally doesn't exist at this location yet, drove across town to get a hotdog that doesn't exist. Don't post the restaurant on Google if the foundation isn't even in yet.
