Just go get pizza not this. Cold tortillas that crumble apart. Wet sloppy ingredients. And no customer service whatsoever. $30 few tacos. Never again ever. Big "opening a taco shop would be a fun thing to do with my money" vibes from this spot. Not inspired. No respect for the cuisine. They don't even have pineapple... Just a nasty brown sauce with browning pineapple in it.
Walked inside-dog. People with allergies should not have to have food around dogs. Told the cook I needed to wait for the dog. I told him not to make it because it would get cold on my ride home. He could care less. Made it anyways. Prices posted with reasons why they have increased. My burrito was 1/2 the size it usually is & we all know we go for the giant burrito.Dog? Higher prices for less? Cold food? Nope.
I actually really liked the tacos here the first time I came. I thought from my first experience they were some of the best around. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to get tacos and when I walked in there was no one at the counter so I waited about 5 minutes. Checked to see if there was a bell or something didn’t see anything walked around the interior of the restaurant and I saw the door to the kitchen which had a window I made eye contact with someone who promptly moved out of sight. I waited an additional few minutes for someone to come out and nothing. So I left without any tacos. Super bummed. I won’t be coming back.
I LOVE Poppo’s!! I had Poppo’s in Sarasota’s about 4-5 years ago and fell in love with it then. I was thrilled when I saw one here in the Burg. They’ve been here a while now so I’m late with my review, but the food and service was just as good as I remember! The tacos are so fresh! I love that they have kombucha. Small place. Really good!
I think the location is great, the one in St. Petersburg I visit has fantastic employees and staff, that are always friendly and happy. I eat the food at least twice a week as some casual dining. I recommend any of the combinations that you can dream of because they’ve made it almost impossible to find one that doesn’t taste good! Hats off to one of the best taco places on Central Avenue!
I ordered a corn quesadilla and was told I could pick two meats, one for each corn tortilla (they came in twos). I chose my two proteins and toppings. The cashier first charged me for two tacos $7.95 and I told them it was a “quesadilla” then the total was $9.90 for two tiny taco sized quesadillas. The menu says a quesadilla is $5.95 plus $2 for protein. So I was charged for extra protein yet didn’t get anything extra. … I asked howMuch tacos with cheese are and they said $7.95… not what I want to pay for mediocre food.

Always good! A little pricey but the location is great, I've never had a bad meal here (consistency is key). Only wish they had a hotter hot sauce haha. Will be back many times

This is my favorite burrito in all of Florida! Fresh made tortillas and fresh, delicious toppings like feta cheese, arugula, and a pineapple habanero salsa that is to die for! The staff is always friendly and quick. And conveniently located on Central Ave, I find myself coming back time and time again.
