Excellent food and service. We got lunch here and the fish tacos were fantastic. For breakfast, we were celebrating my moms birthday and they brought fresh pastries and sang to her which made her feel so special! I highly recommend coming here for great service and quality food!
We ate dinner here twice during our St. Pete stay and we would have come back a third time if time permitted. Delicious food, great athmosphere and views. The service was phenomenal, Thomas was our server and he was wonderful, funny and had excellent recommendations. When he saw that I was cold, he walked to the spa and brought me a large, warm towel. They’ll do substitutions with no issues, and even the kids burgers looked delish and came with real veggie sides instead of kid fries upon request. Try the frozen rum drink with a rum floater, to die for!
Food was delicious! Beautiful view off of St. Pete pier. Matt was an awesome waiter, great service. Recommend!
We were disappointed to discover that Marchand's at the Vinoy was temporarily closed but decided to try Paul's Landing for breakfast instead. The morning got off on the wrong seat when the waitress seated my husband in a chair whose cushion was covered in sticky syrup. A search of nearby chairs revealed that many cushions were stained and covered with crumbs. The coffee was good if you like burnt, day-old coffee. The eggs we ordered were room temperature, and we are pretty sure the bacon they served us was cooked up last year. The breakfast was inedible, so we walked down to 2nd on Second and had a much better breakfast experience!
Met up here with an old friend for drinks. The drinks were great, the manager Brendan, came by to check on us and found out we were having a little celebration and comped a birthday drink for us. We appreciated the generosity and personable attitude. Will be back again for sure!
Wife and I were hotel guests at Marriott's Vinoy Resort for a Valentines day "staycation". Paul's Landing was the only restaurant operating at the hotel. The Valentines Day special was a 3 course fixed price offering on a watermelon salad course; a 5-ounce filet minon with forgettable vegetables and a small shallow dished strawberry creme Brule. Sounds nice but not at $75.00 each and mandatory 20% tip included for a party on 2!! RIP OFF even at Marriott standards. This is my only way to politely express my disappointment. Fool me once, shame on you. There will be no second time! We live locally near St. Petersburg, FL
I absolutely love this restaurant. Everything from the scene to the food is amazing. If you are looking to dine here, I highly recommend coming for lunch and grabbing yourself the gulf fish sandwich and chose the blackened version. I'm really looking forward to having lunch there soon again.
We stopped here twice during our weekend stay and both times were a disaster. First time was for a cocktail to watch the sunset. The bartender was rude, tossed wet, dirty menus at us and walked away. The bar top was wet and dirty and we had to ask him to please clean it. He let us know he was not happy with that! We well overpaid for a draft beer and a house wine and left without finishing them. The only reason we went the second time was that we had free breakfast coupons and this is the only place to use them. Unfortunately, this experience was pretty poor also. The “ free” breakfast is a Continental breakfast which is $16 without a coupon. The 2 egg breakfast is also $16 on the menu but you can’t use the coupon for that! What sense does that make? How about “ free” breakfast up to $16 value ? Service was terribly slow, the food was sub par at best. Hopefully the hotel will get people who care to work here. It was obvious that was pretty much lacking this time. There are too many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel to waste any time here.
The location is great with awesome views. Unfortunately the waiter decided he needed to argue with me about how I want my steak because of how “other people” have complained. I explained that I know how steak temperatures work and I’m not expecting a medium rare steak to be piping hot as no one should. He continued a drawn-out monologue about how he thinks my steak should be cooked and proceeded to ignore my request. I’ll try it again because everything else was good (yes the steak was overdone); hopefully the rest of the wait staff is less aggressive.
First visit and was very impressed. Our waiter, Sean, was excellent… knowledgable, timely, authentic. The food was terrific. I had the scallop special which will be joining regular menu and is delectable. My husband had the skirt steak, pleasing to the eye and perfectly done. We sat outside with a beautiful view of water, the pier and surrounding high rises. Not noisy so conversation is unimpeded. We will return. So happy we live nearby.
