Went on a Saturday afternoon with kids. We are all for having a great time out as an adult but I don't think we would go back with kids. It is $14 per person to golf, people looked like they were enjoying it but for almost $60 to putt putt we'd go elsewhere. That said, the food truck was some of the best food we had had in a while!!!! We're going back for the dumplings again tomorrow!
Par Bar. It’s in the ankles. What I would say about par bar is that it’s all good on the greens. She is in fact crispy. Par bar is by far a star.
St Pete is full of amazing places and this place is trying its hardest to be one of those places but it falls short. It is the Charmeleon of St Pete bars. Isn’t cute like Charmander and isn’t epic like Charizard, it’s awkward and trying to find it’s place so it can evolve.Food: We arrived at Par Bar at 8:30pm. Got our first round of drinks, asked about food and we’re told that the food truck was outside. Walked over and got in line. At 8:46pm a lady from the food truck cut us off and told us they were behind and were not taking orders for 20 minutes. Totally understandable. We started playing our round of golf at 9:20pm and they still weren’t taking orders. Walk up to the bar to get our second round around 9:45pm, ask if the food truck is taking orders yet, and we’re told they were closed for the night. Just tell people you’re closing. We were waiting on you and then you closed.Service: Bar service was fantastic. Bartenders were quick and nice.Golf: We we’re there with a friend for her birthday. We hadn’t done any research on the place before hand. They charge $14 to play on a tiny 18 hole course that is mostly par 2s and feels like something anyone can build in their own back yard. Lots of 4x4s and holes that the cup had risen out of so the ball wouldn’t go in. Congo River charges $16 and they have an entire themed course you can play with elevation and even live gators. There were rules printed on the back of the score card but no one enforcing them. We got stuck behind a group of 6 guys who were drunk, hitting their balls everywhere, walking on the metal ramps, yelling at other parties, and taking forever to play a hole. The couple behind us actually left because it was taking forever. They also serve beer here and there’s almost nowhere to put your beer down while you’re playing a hole. Every hole should have someplace to put your drink down.Lastly, it’s completely open to the elements. It was a gorgeous night tonight but in the summer you should have something above the course to keep the sun and rain away. That will gain you customers.Overall, this place doesn’t know what it is. It’s a cute idea but it’s not going to be a place people return to. There are too many other bars in St Pete that are doing their shtick a lot better than Par Bar is doing theirs.
So cute. Fun for kids before it gets too late. Great beer selection. My husband and five year old daughter had a blast before dark.
Fun experience right downtown. It’s not the fanciest putt putt experience, but still tons fun and right on central. They always have a food truck there, so food may vary. Aside from mini-golf, they have a ping pong table and the big trash can game with balls. About $14 per person to play, no drinks included. They also have TVs so it’s a nice place to watch games…(lightning, bucs, rays, etc) and they have drink deals for game days.
Great place for a couple beers and some mini golf. We had a great bartender named Miranda !
Great fun, good drinks.. owners are awesome
Great place to spend time with friends! Highly recommend.
We will definitely be coming back to Par Bar when we visit again! The staff are very friendly and the course was challenging, but very fun. Shout out to Joe for a great experience! ⛳️
Friendly staff. Very casual. Fun mini golf but it cost $50 for 2 draft beers and a round of golf. Too much to go back.
