What a freaking GEM downtown St Pete. Not the same 15 items on a menu here, dishes and ingredients I have never heard of and they are fantastic. I could literally fill this review by talking about their bread and butter, no joke fire! Smoked Lion's Mane Mushrooms, Snapper Crudo, Fish Cakes, and Cured Salmon were amazing. The cocktails were very original and made perfectly. Service was stellar and we will be back many times.
An upscale and classy vibe without all the unnecessary pretentiousness. This place has an eloquent and modern charm that anyone could appreciate. The entire staff is warm and welcoming, the menu is innovative and creative, the food is fresh and mouthwatering. We tried almost every cocktail and several of their house made liqueurs. All incredible. Each dish we ordered was special and something I had never seen on a menu before, everything was exceptional. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and so incredibly knowledgeable about food. It was an amazing night and we will all definitely be going back!Welcome to St. Pete, Lingr! We love you!
This was my wife and I’s first time and we had a delicious meal. The restaurant was comfortable, appropriately lit and the bathrooms have mouthwash. Sidney was the best server we’ve ever had. She engaged in quality conversation. She is So knowledgeable of the wine menu and helped direct us to dishes We were looking to eat. Chef Jeff even threw us a couple curveballs and off menu bites! All and all a great experience. 10 out 10 would suggest
Tastiest food I have ever eaten in this area! Service was spectacular.
Great atmosphere, food and hospitality!
Jeffrey Jew has outdone himself with Lingr. Such a delicious, unique menu and wonderful ambience. My daughter and I enjoyed everything we ordered and will be back to try more.
An overall excellent dining experience. Great food, service, cocktails, atmosphere…. If you have not been there yet, go!
We tried the Fire, Wood, Metal and Earth cocktails. All of them were good but I didn't find any of them mind blowing. The Fire took a few sips to get acclimated to the campari then you could taste the beet. I only had sips of the other drinks. We had the;BaoShrimp dumplingsMapo Ho FunMilk bread and rye with sea buckthorn butter and bottargaHamachi Crudo with citrus buttermilkSmoked lions mane with brunost on Sami breadThe Bao and the dumplings were good. Didn't stand out a ton but still good. I didn't get much flavor out of the Bao fillings, I got mostly spiciness out of it. The bun was fluffy with a good chew to it.The mapo Ho Fun was very tasty. Good texture on the noodles and the right amount of heat.I'd read a few reviews and a lot mentioned to get Sami bread with the lion's mane and brunost. I liked it well enough. The brunost was rich with a little tang so that you could still taste it through the mushrooms. The bread and butter dish was incredible. The rye bread wasn't dry at all and the butter was light as air. The butter was savory and sightly sweet and went perfect with the rye bread.Hamachi Crudo, my favorite of the night. I'll mention that I love hamachi but the real star was the sauce. Citrus buttermilk with dill oil. I couldn't get enough of it. The tanginess cut the fattiness of the fish perfectly. The lotus root was crispy and was a nice textural accompaniment to the fish. I would go back to Lingr just to have this dish.
My wife and I just visited this restaurant after accumulating extremely high hopes. The chef / owner is allegedly an iron chef winner, which accredits him to bring the “best of the best”. This food was below average at best. The dumplings were mushy in a sodium packed sauce. The bao bun was soo full of cumin it was hardly edible. On to the main courses. The wok snapper while the fish was tasty I found 5 bones in my less than 6 oz filet. The “starch” that accompanied was so stale and salty they shouldn’t have even been on the plate. The “starch” ruined the whole dish. It was supposed to be a crispy bottom of the pan crispy rice but it was neither crispy nor flavorful. The only seasoning it had was excessive salt and it was hardly crispy. Try three day old rice that has sat out. My wife had the man lo noodles and those were just simply atrocious. While the actual noodles themselves were cooked to perfection the sauce was just out right horrendous. It was a flavorless salt punch to the face. It screamed canned Chinese sauce. The only thing that might save this restaurant was the all star service we received. The server offered many selections of the menu, although terrible, she knew the menu in and out. She was constantly checking on us for drink refills and to see if we needed anything.Definitely a great place for drinks , but the food is subpar at best and will leave you hungry and with a headache from all the sodium.
My husband and I have lived here a little over 5 years and this has made it to the top of our favorite restaurants in St. Petersburg. My husband had the steak and I had the rice noodles. The majority of the menu is seafood and even though my husband doesn’t touch seafood, they truly make up for it in the other non-seafood entrees. The steak was perfectly made, the curry rice was unreal, and the rice noodles were a bit spicy, but so delicious you had to keep going for more. Not only was the food spectacular and unlike anything we’ve ever had before but the service was impeccable. I had to say something to our waitress, Sidney, because of how incredible she was. Lingr is so lucky to have her! Her recommendations, and her vibrant but calm demeanor made our visit a top tier experience. Ask for her if she’s available to be your waitress!
