Delicious Asian style street food and amazing staff. Crystal was the greatest server.
We came here because of a recommendation. We were starving when we got there and a bit "hangry". The host said 20 to 30 minute wait. The place had all kinds of open seating. It didn't dawn on me until later, that there were not a lot of servers at that time. Smart move, leave us waiting FOR a table, instead of AT a table. Nothing worse than waiting for someone to wait on you.Oh and I later discovered that you can book ahead of time, which I do recommend. Anyway, about 28 minutes into the wait we were about to leave and we were seated.By then, it was getting very busy and definitely more servers.I learned it was graduation night and a festival.Fritz , our waiter was nice and so helpful. We let him pick food for us. Everything came out well paced and was delicious. I am so glad we stuck around. It was worth it. It has a great vibe, great food and great staff. We already have plans to go back next week.As we were leaving I asked for the manager, I put my best unhappy customer face on as he came over, I then smiled and thanked him and the staff for being awesome. Don't forget to not only tip your server but thank all the people that make great service happen.
We have dined at Hawkers many times and especially enjoyed their Happy Hour menu. That menu is NOT HAPPY any longer. The bao were the only things on the menu. Beer was half off and my husband ordered a few. When the bill came, he automatically added a tip and paid. While still at the table I asked him to check it for I thought it too high. While doing this the waiter came rushing to our table say”wait I made a mistake .” He did not price anything half price. I think he knew it and when he saw us looking over the bill after it was paid, he knew he was caught. Be careful! Check your bill for every item.
Got to try something new today! Everything was very flavorful. The Korean wings were my fav and also the Chinese BBQ Bao Buns!!! The drink was good and strong (but most drinks are for me.) the atmosphere was nice and open, perfect for a day like this. I really liked the anime bathroom art also, not sure what the girls bathroom looks like. Check them out if you get a chance. Looking forward to going again. Great service, great food, and great company.
Great food, take out takes longer than they tell you…….consistently
This is my go to. Favorite Pad Thai, the Roti is to die for, and great location. I can’t recommend it enough. I take everyone here when they come to visit!
wonderful tasty food. lovely helpful staff. a great experience ?
Food was good, service was excellent. Had time to kill before our flight so we came here for lunch and it did not disappoint. Wife chose a good location to fill our bellies. Portions were just right and we were able to taste their offerings. Atmosphere was cool also.
Hawkers has been one of my favorite joints in the St. Pete area. I mean St. Pete is a hub for good food and beer, and even with all the option we keep coming back to hawkers. The old fashion made with Japanese whiskey is really delicious. Try any of their Japanese whiskeys they all are good. (Hawkers do charge for ice if you ask for on the rocks, which I think is ridiculous)One of my favorite things to eat at Hawkers is their Steak Kimchi Fried Rice - I do have a note to the chef though. As a person of south Asian origin, it’s crucial that the rice is cooked right in a fried rice. It’s like 95% of what a fried rice dish is made off. That being said, the kimchi fried has not been consistent. My humble request to the chef. Please cook the rice all the way. Out of the 10 times I have had this dish, the rice was not cooked all the way like 7 times. Cooking the rice all the way is really crucial to this dish. And I say this with all the love, because this is my favorite dish in all of St. Pete. Please!! Please!! Please!! Cook the rice all the way. I really don’t want to eat kimchi fried rice anywhere else.Re-fried Korean wings are very unique. These wings are Not for you if you like BWW’s wings. BWW are trash. These are real wings. Not sure what BWW’s has been serving. One of the best roti canai I have ever eaten. It comes with 2 roti’s. Get an extra roti with your order. You will need it. Roti canai is Malaysian in its etiology, but the curry is the closest thing to the curry from the western region of India. If you ever ate a curry at an Indian restaurant and they told you it was curry, my friend you have been lied to. This roti canai is your opportunity to taste something that comes very very close to the curry from western India. There isn’t too much I can complain about when it comes to hawkers. It’s definitely one of my favorite places in St. Pete. I am an Asian food junky!!!The place still gets a 5 star.
Amazing food. I got the Beef Haw Fun (I butchered the name, sorry in advance) and spring rolls. Fresh veggies and perfectly cooked noodles. I loved every bit of it. We also got the sake flight “10k ways” “Pearl” and “Jewel” it’s my first time trying sake so it’s definitely an acquired taste but I loved just being able to have the option of trying multiple at a time. We also got the warm sake which was really good and not too hot at all. Just right. I would suggest this place to anyone! Our server Jessica was amazing and really sweet!
