Homemade chai which can be sweetened to your liking. Commonly used during the day as work/study space. They have wifi and various indoor and outdoor seating options (high tops, indoor and outdoor bar top, tables, couches). Upstairs more of a quiet zone and has a balcony. Very chill staff

This is one of my favorite spots on central. It’s predominant a kava/kratom bar, but I awing by for coffee, iced tea or other refreshing beverages. Extremely dog friendly, both the establishment and its patrons. Great place to people watch. Plenty of places to hang out; Sit on the sidewalk, at the bar, on a couch, work upstairs on the quiet level or hang out on the balcony up top. What I like most about the place is that it’s always clean and evolving (menu, environment, events etc)
I go here almost everyday and the kratom and the staff are the literal best ! Very welcoming to the LGBTQ+ community and always taking very good care of customers. Thank you grassroots ??❤️
When you are good you don’t have to worry about being seen. You can stand in front of this place and not know what you are looking at. It’s protected with a garage door exterior and a canopy of trees to shade from the sun. It offers a variety of beverages and herbal cocktails that promote energy and happiness. It offers covered outdoor seating as well as bar and indoor seating. The prices are good and the service is welcoming. Parking can be tight but, surrounding areas offer short walk access.
update:i was sad to experience belittling from an owner (balding shorter gent with facial hair) towards me after asking an innocent question about a daily discounted special-he treated me like i was trying to swindle them through a discount. when in fact. i wanted to buy a kratom and an espresso (might as well get a 50% discount on the coffee, right?).i asked if there would be a discount since the daily special was half off any coffee product if you purchased something at regular price. he then scoffed at me, laughed and said "you can't have the kratom for half off." i said "i'm very aware of that, i wasn't expecting you to discount the kratom."i felt like a little kid being scolded since he assumed i meant that i wanted 50% off kratom, which was not the case. it was very offensive to me since i've probably spent more than i've cared to at this establishment.he then proceeded to assume again by charging me for a double without asking me. for real, what the heck man!so i paid the $14 or whatever it was and sat down quite irked.that was the last time i went to this place since he hangs around all the time.to top it off i've never really experienced friendly service here, so that made my decision to frequent other places much easier.original post:i've tried this place maybe 15 times so far-and every time i ask myself why i come here.possible cons:•this may break your bank•there may be tons of pretentious people•the music may just be horrendous•there may be tons of smoking out frontpossible pros:•late operating hours•convenient location•stable wi-fi•cleanbut what do i know ;)
Ordered a caramel latte with oat milk and it was by far the best I’ve ever had!!Staff was super friendly too! They even let my fur baby enjoy the upstairs balcony while I savored my latte and got some work done. ? ☕️ ??Great experience for a non-local!Thanks!!
It was very clean and I loved the atmosphere. This was my first time being here and I ordered a double ohana kava with cream, and when the tender handed it to me it literally looked like just cream. I could taste the kava at least, but it was very weak.

As a DTSP local, I love this place and come almost daily. The vibe here is awesome. Downstairs is more of a bar/ social scene. Upstairs is more of a study area where it’s quiet and I love their 2nd story patio in the evening. The service is friendly and the kratom is a perfect medium where it’s not too strong, but not weak either. I highly recommend to everyone!
