So happy that we found this place. We moved to Tampa from Chicago and we have been looking for a great sub sandwich place. Definitely hit the jackpot with Gateway Subs!!! The bread they use is fantastic and they have great choices for the meat selections. Generous portions and they "run it through the garden" which we highly suggest! We'll be returning again and again! So the next time you're craving a really good sub head on over to Gateway Subs in St.Pete. it makes a great lunch if you're heading to the beach!!!
Wow!!!! I was told this place was great, but I was not anticipating it being amazing!!! Hands down the best sub I’ve had in Florida(I ordered The Big Beach)! The owners and staff were all friendly and welcoming. The meat was sliced fresh to order. Everything was fresh and the place was very clean. I highly recommend this place!!!
The food is always prepared fresh with care and a smile! Today I had the absolutely BEST meatball & marinara sub! This weeks weekly special B's Bison Balls!! House made all natural, Bison meatballs smothered in house made marinara, topped with provolone cheese, toasted perfect on fresh white bread with just the right amount of sub sauce and Italian dust seasoning.. SO SO Good! I'll be back again this week!
Nice to have a sandwich shop within walking distance. Welcome to Kenwood! We really enjoyed the atmosphere, didn’t notice any music. Only two outdoor tables, I’m sure they will get more as they grow. It was very busy and seems to be a hit already. The workers were friendly and fast paced. We got the Brycer sub and it was really good, we liked the crunch of the chips on it. The bread was soft and easy to eat. The berry smoothie was a perfect combination and loved that is was vegan. Will definitely be back to try a salad. Recommend for a fresh quality sub!
I came here for the first time and was back the next day for the same sub. It is truly delicious. All of the ingredients are fresh, especially the bread which is nice and soft. You can add whatever you want to your subs and the employees are all very nice with attention to detail. Nice atmosphere.
One of the better places to get a Sub/Sandwich. Being from New Jersey / New York / Philly area I am use to a heavy sub / sandwich on very hardy bread. It seems to be hard to find much of that it seems in Florida. But, the wrap I got at Gateway was a good sandwich. The sandwich size I got was 1/4lb of meat. It didn't seem like a 1/4lb but I'm guessing it was. I am use to the deli's and subshops just piling up meat.The deli meat was good. The vegetables were very fresh.The employees were extremely nice and the shop is extremely clean. I would definitely visit again and recommend.
I don’t review many places but this place is 5 star worthy! I’ve ordered here a couple times and all I can say is i’ll probably never order a publix sub ever again. The subs here are amazing quality. Between the softest bread and fresh ingredients, they really nail it. Get the spicy ranch. Add the crushed chips. Thank me later. & Do not sleep on gateway subs!!!!
This place is so cute! Everyone was super nice. They all loved on my pup and even gave him some turkey. You can definitely tell the food and coffee are made with love (and real ingredients). Can’t beat the price, location (literally across the street), and the customer service. Plus I love that it’s a small business. I will definitely be back!
Gateway is hands down the best sub shop in the Tampa and St. Pete area! The sandwich’s are insanely tasty and you get so much value for what you pay. The staff is also incredibly friendly, I truly have never experienced anything like it. I tried The Brycer and it exceeded my expectations and is now my new go to! Cannot wait to come back again asap!
I came in today and had the Big Beach. Never at a fast casual restaurant did I feel more welcome. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. The sandwich was absolutely amazing! They sliced my meats to order and allowed me to customize as I wish! Their bread is so soft and pillow-ey! It tastes freshly baked! I forgot that bread should have flavor!They even spent $7,000 on their water purifier and you can taste the difference! I'm bringing a big jug next time I go to fill up. In fact, they use this high quality water to brew their coffee! I'm sure the coffee is lovely and I'll have to pop in one of these mornings soon.I generally don't write reviews but I am overjoyed to give this spot a shout out!!!!
