This is the sort of cafe you wanted to find when you were going through your "artist phase." Tucked away in a cute little arcade, draped in a touch of Boho chic, run by approachable staff and providing just enough room to fill up quickly--you can certainly do worse than to stop by Crislip cafe and soak in the atmosphere. I only had time to try one brew, and if you're into chocolate and spice, the Black Magic Woman did not disappoint. Sipping this thing reminded me of getting to the bottom of my ramen bowl after seasoning it with chili powder every other bite -- we reached inner-ear-tingle level of heat! I'm definitely looking forward to trying another one of their interesting creations next time I stop by St. Pete.
Such a fun coffee shop! Delightful staff. Will definitely be back!
I've been here a few times and every time I go it feels like a special treat. When you walk in the shop it has a warm and welcoming vibe and smells amazing. The decor is so unique and interesting and comfortable too.I've tried several menu items and they have all been excellent! The Crislip which is a creme brûlée latte was a delicious indulgence and the Matcha Green Tea Latte was so good both hot and iced. Next on my list to try will be either the Purple Rain or A Whole Lotta Love. Can't wait!
This place is our first stop anytime we go downtown. It’s so quaint and peaceful with the original artwork and the decor. Not to mention the coffee is truly amazing. Customer service is also always wonderful, very friendly staff. As an ex Starbucks barista, I can say their coffee is better than anything I’ve tasted before.
THE best combo of ever changing creative coffee drinks and vibe in town. And there's some good competition. We call this place Botox Cafe because nobody can pronounce the name. I hope it catches on.
I got the bacon brie & honey stuffed croissant & it did NOT disappoint! I also tried the special Valentine's day, white chocolate covered strawberry coffee and it tasted exactly like the real deal. so happy my sister took me to this cute local shop she is a regular at!
Wonderful space with an intimate feel and delicious coffee. Hidden gem
I see some reviews talking about "friendly service". I wish I had the same experience. I've worked in the service industry almost all of my life before switching to medical so I understand the behavior I experienced to a point but not after the fourth visit. This guy thats at the counter (Deacon, I think his name is?) has this vibe like he is friendly, but God forbid the coffee is made wrong. This guy is extremely passive aggressive. I asked him to remake my coffee which was made wrong and he starts talking to me about how we (people) shouldn't waste (which he is 10000% right, and if my order was right, there would have been zero coffee wasted) and how in his "25 years of experience" if they give him the wrong steak order (his example), he'll just take it. Excuse me? I wasn't looking for a lecture, just coffee please. Literally all FOUR times I've come, this guy seems like he's grumpy. I only asked him to remake my coffee one time, even though twice I got the wrong order. His customer service seems soooo hit or miss, and I know we all have our bad days, but dude, FOUR TIMES I've walked out feeling bad. I see him smile and talk it up but if something is wrong or seems complicated, I've watched this extremely passive aggressive side surface and its not cool, even though his vibe would suggest that he is. The stars are for the food. The sandwiches are sooo delicious! I discovered them the last time I went. I think I ordered one that's called "Southern Hospitality"? So good. What's strange is that I ordered a sandwich the day before and received it. Today I go at the same time (I leave my meeting at the same time every day) and now today "we don't sell sandwiches at this time". I don't know, my experiences here have been pretty poor all FOUR times, and I hope when you (the reader) come here, you have a pleasant experience.
Nice hidden coffee shoppe on central. I had their iced crislip coffee and it was delicious. The place itself looked really cool and clean. Staff was nice.
