*Gave my credit card to someone else and stuck me with the tab!!*Went here the evening of July 3rd. Fun place that I was hoping to make my new local spot. After buying a Corona and 3 Miller Lites, I asked for my tab. Turns out the bartender, Cole, gave it to someone else. He also put their drinks on my tab. I asked him to adjust the bill and I gave him another card to close the tab. He never charged that card and ended up charging me the full $114.95. Again, I ordered 4 beers. I'm guessing the shots of Rumplemintz Cole had while working that night probably didn't help the situation. They took my information down in hopes that my card would be returned to the bar.I went back the next day and they said they had received a call from the person who had the card and that he was going to come in and return it. He didn't that day (Understandable, it was July 4th) but did the following day. I found this out by returning again to the bar. No one ever called me.So I had the card back, now it was just an issue of the incorrect charges. I was more than willing to pay the $23 or so dollars for those 4 beers and made that very clear. They continued to apologize and made sure they had my information to let me know when it was resolved. After 2 more weeks of no calls and no charge corrections, I returned for a sixth time to find out the status. They again apologized and said they recently had a GM quit and that was part of the holdup. I then spoke to the manager on site, Dustin, who again took my info along with the transaction info a said he would talk to the operations manager the next day and that I would receive a call. I didn't.I went back in for the seventh time this past Friday, July 29th. Saw Dustin by the bar and asked him the status. He then said they looked at everything and weren't willing to correct the charges since they had a signature. I had been exceptionally patient considering the hassle involved. I wasn't quite as patient after this news. I should have just disputed the transaction from the beginning, but again, I like the place and was hoping to make it my local spot, so I wanted to give them a chance to make it right and wanted to make sure I paid for what I got, rather than just dispute the whole charge. So now, that's what I will have to do, not to mention the hassle of getting a new card since someone else had mine for two days. It's a cool place, most of the staff is great, just really disappointed that they wouldn't do what was right after knowing what they did was wrong.
My favorite place to hang on central. Love the tables outside. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My friends and I have sampled a lot of the dishes. It's right in the center of the area and great for people watching.
If I could give it a 0 I would. Was there this evening. Was told a Modelo would cost me 5 bucks and I was charged 7. The bartender lied and said she had said 5 or 6. Either way 5 or 6 is not 7. On top of that they add tax to it. Never been to any bars that add sales tax to alcohol. Guess it's a florida thing. When I complained about the charge the bartender who lied to me said well it's 7 (basically too bad) and another one had the audacity to make the excuse that the prices change all the time. What, from when you order to when you pay the bill?? In the time it takes to drink one freaking beer?? Look. I was born at night but I wasn't born LAST night. On top of this they put a freaking $25 hold on my card without my permission and without informing me ahead of time. I will definitely never be back to this ripoff shthole of a bar. How dare you treat your customers this way! I'll tell everyone else to avoid you like the plague too. Aholes.
Love this place I’d give it a 5 star for the bar.Keep it at the bar because their food sucks! LoWay too much salt on the wings and way too much sauce on the Buffalo shrimp. They could swim away in it. But cool bar.
I stopped in town with my wife for a day trip. We picked the Crafty Squirrel at random.Melissa was our bartender, and we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the city. She took phenomenal care of us, and also provided us with first hand knowledge of some of the best places to visit while we were in town. She was the best thing to happen to our vacation and I'm grateful we stumbled up to her bar top. Thanks, Melissa!
They like to add extra 00's to your bill afterwards. You can have a $30 bill and by the next 2 days it will magically be $300 that you spent. No joke! Happened to a couple people we know.
Fun place, good food. Young croud.
Awesome place, really good food and drink selection!
I got a BOGO so we decided to try the Crafty Squirrel tonight for dinner. The place was empty and there was one line bartender to serve both inside and out. They had $5 specials on Crown Flavors but they didn't have any lol. We ordered our handhelds and waited. They brought my dad his steak sliders and told me they hadn't started mine yet but they were working on it now (why they hadn't figured that out in the previous 15 min or so is beyond me). It gets better: the guy who brought out the did came back to tell me the brisket was still frozen (again, why that wasn't figured out before this is just crazy). He offered some chips and guacamole and I accepted and ordered the hot chicken. He bright the guacamole and chips, which was a decent size order and it was delicious. I'm guessing it wasn't homemade but for bar food it was above average. The hot chicken was indeed hot and spicy, but it seemed one note.it was a yummy note, though. The chicken breast was juicy and the pickles and coleslaw complemented it well. Overall, the food and drinks were good, the service was ok and the atmosphere was definitely lacking. I probably wouldn't go back.
Craftys has gotten rid of the security team that has worked there for years and has always kept things under control. To save money they have gone in house and they don't have enough quality guys to secure the place. Potentially unsafe atmosphere with no structure. Be careful partying there on the weekends.
