I was very skeptical at the beginning about this place, after reading some negative reviews. But this was absolutely incredible dining experience, we were blown away! We came for a dinner on a Wednesday evening. It was not busy at all, though it was a tiny bit busier when we left. I made a reservation, but we arrived a little earlier and were seated immediately. Jason was our server, he was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We decided to try the large plate with everything on it, all the seasoning with mild spiciness. Seafood tasted fresh, good sized portion, and seasoned very well. We liked that the seasoning did not overpowered the taste of food, the crab was awesome, the shrimps were huge! Loved it! 5 stars out of 5! We highly recommend Crafty Crab. For sure will be back on our next trip.
Food was mediocre. Music was nice! Seafood boils/specials are pre boiled in water and then seasonings added to your bag that you choose. The seafood doesn’t actually cook in the seasonings therefore poor flavor.Appetizers were decent. Cheese sticks not really appealing.Pepsi products. Dr. Pepper was flat.
Delicious Fresh Seafood ? Boil...you can create your own, pick your seasonings and sauce. Yummy seafood with plenty to choose from. The service was great and the staff was so friendly. We enjoyed it very much.
Very nice and great service?
I like this place. Have been here 3 times and I prefer this over Mr. Mrs. Crab or Hungry Crab. Their portions are great and the team is super nice. They also have these cool crab scissors ??
Food was good. I’m giving 2 stars because clearly the the hiring manager will hire anyone. My waitress smelled like a walking cigarette it gets even worst she had heroin track marks on her arm dirty nails and peeling skin. The young lady might be in the process of changing her life but it’s gross in a food environment. I asked them to switch out my waitress they went on to ask me why like they didn’t already know. The replacement waitress was okay ! Am I in a rush to go back absolutely not
Best shrimp boil and hush puppies on the planet!!!
I've been looking forward to visiting this new to me restaurant. The atmosphere was good, and seating was comfortable. Service was friendly but fair (sporadic and slow); that was almost certainly due to the general staff shortages in the industry. Though, I found it odd that metal utensils were rationed like that was a shortage too. We had to request a fork, and overheard a nearby table to ask for the shell breakers - and heard the reason they don't put them on the table was because if they went missing the management would deduct the cost from the server's pay!! Wow.The food was fair at best. All of our entrees were overcooked. (Actually, the French fries were perfect.) Most of the seafood was said to be fresh, but I am not convinced. Also, the fried shrimp was small and over breaded. The fried calamari looked like it too started frozen. I was underwhelmed by the portion size of the large boil - we split that between two people very easily. Supposedly that would have fed four. I don't think so.So while nothing was poor, there are many local options that would be more satisfying.
We have been coming here since it opened and up until tonight, it's been great. However, when I received my snow crabs and shrimp, there was a hair wrapped around the crab leg, almost embedded into the crab shell. The manager took my plate and returned with it missing the crab leg saying she can't replace the whole dish, that she will just give me a new crab claw. I wonder if she got a hair in her food, she if would pull it out and eat the rest of the dish, because that's what she told me to do. Piss poor management! Won't ever return here. Zero stars if I could.
Pretty good experience. Having it all come in a big bag was strange. Didn't seem super fresh. The king crab didn't snap like you would expect from fresh crab. Maybe the snow crab would? It's all still good food though. We ate it all.
