LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I go 2-3x a week because it’s a great atmosphere to be in. The staff is super friendly and love seeing me and my pup Lucía. They always come out and give her bacon and pets and lots of love. The food is really good, I’m currently on rotation between the breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito, the Cuban and rosemary potato’s. It’s a great place to sit outside and do your homework. I’m moving at the end of the months and I wish I could pick up Banyan and move it to the other side of Florida. Definitely 10/10. The owner is also a great human and we will miss him greatly when we move.
Family owned restaurant, Which is always the best eating experience!! Very personable, kind people, The owners actually come out and talk to you. The father and son, who own it, are just really amazing people. It is truly the best omelet I have at anywhere in Saint Petersburg! I could not believe how perfectly well cooked, it was thick and tasty!! And rosemary potatoes and a slice of seasoned pita to go with, very hip eatery!! We were lucky enough to sample desserts prepared for catering an event at Morean Art Center, which is the same building they are located, and they were delectable!!! Hopefully they will start having those as options options to go with coffee in the mornings :)
While me and my good mate were in line ordering food the people behind us we're being very disruptive. It was a group of high schoolers, and they had ZERO manners! The food was bland and cold, and the coffee tasted like dishwater and sandpaper. Terrible name too, 1/10 Do NOT recommended. This is the worst coffee shop I've ever been to, BANYAN DO BETTER!

Love the coffee here. The only thing is it’s never consistent. Depending who is working my coffee has been wayy too strong or wayy too sweet. There was only one time when it was just right and that was my first time going there. Ever sense then my coffee just tastes horrible.I really want to keep coming here because I loved the coffee the first time, I also love your sister location in Tampa A LOT MORE. The difference with the Tampa location is the Oat milk they use is the “Oatley brand”. Oatley is sweeter and fuller like creamer. The Oat milk you guys use is the cheap Oat milk. That one is not as sweet and is not as full. Please switch to Oatley milk like your sister store in Tampa
Casual place, great for breakfast and lunch. You need to go to the counter to order and they bring the food to you. Gluten free option and amazing coffee.
Walking to the St. Pete Grand Prix early Saturday morning. Wanted a quick coffee and pastry before we hit the track on a tight schedule. The pastry selection was extremely weak for a coffee shop, but I grabbed a rather small Danish and ordered a simple Red-Eye coffee to go. Friend and I were he ONLY customers not served yet in the joint. There was some new staff training underway. BUT IT TOOK EXACTLY 9 MINUTES TO MAKE AN ESPRESSO SHOT AND POUR IN SOME COFFEE FOR MY ORDER. Just 2 of us in the place that had 4 employees and a supervisor working. And the coffee was okay but hardly special. Limited pastry, average coffee and absurdly slow service at the counter is a death knell for such a cafe. Plenty of other choices for coffee nearby to choose from. If they don't fix this, they aren't gonna survive.
Wow. Thank you so much for such a great breakfast. The service was beyond wonderful. You could feel how proud And happy the staff are to be a part of the cafe. A homeless man came in and asked to use restroom, then stood by front counter . Instead of being rude and nasty to the man, the sweet lady at the front gave him a coffee and patiently communicated to him. She was as pleasant with him as she was to paying customers. I loved those positive vibes all around. The food and latte was amazing too!!
I got the smoked salmon bowl because they only serve the shrimp burrito on weekdays. I brought my friends who were visiting from out of town to try this place. We all got the smoked salmon bowl and were really disappointed.The salmon was really salty, acidic, and wet. I was hoping there would be more of a base for the dish. It was some salmon, 2 eggs, and three slices of tomatoes for 13$.I recommend their shrimp burrito wrap but everything else was a little disappointing.The salted caramel latte was delicious.Very friendly staff.
Cute place with wonderful staff. Highly recommend going here for breakfast.
