Overcooked. Bland. Inedible. These adjectives best describe what was served by Fresh Connections Catering for my sons wedding on April 29,2022. I would have posted sooner but Lisa was" too busy " these past two weeks to return my call.The ham was overcooked almost to a jerky type of texture. The deviled eggs had absolutely NO flavor. And the vegetable dip was the consistency of ice cream. Frozen ice cream. Impossible to dip anything. Not all Fresh Connections Catering offerings was less than good. The garlic smashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese and steamed vegetables were fine. Wonderful if you are a vegetarian.When Lisa finally returned my call she was very callous with me. She was upset because, according to her, I trashed Fresh Connections Catering on-line. Which was not true. This is the first time I have said anything on-line concerning her business. Now Lisa is going to say she had some problems with her Fresh Connections Catering business,and she was short staffed. I am not insensitive about her misfortunes, but next time return my money. I’m certain Dominos could have fed our 25 guests for much less than the $1200 I paid Fresh Connections Catering.Oxymoron: contradictory words.military intelligence, airline food, honest politician, and Chef Lisa.
If I could give this place a 0 star I would. My fiancé and I hired them a year ago to cater our wedding, the chef and event coordinator we started out with were absolutely incredible- amazing food and friendly people! They had us so impressed we didn’t even consider other caterers and booked them the day of the tasting. Now we are 2 weeks away from our wedding and we couldn’t get anyone to respond to us regarding finalizing the details and payment after multiple attempts so we finally decided to go in person- they never even had us on their calendar or kept any form of record of the deposit we paid to finalize the booking a YEAR in advance. It was an absolute nightmare, their only explanation was that they had a complete change in staff throughout that period due to covid. Unprofessional, would not recommend!
My wife and I have been enjoying the delicious food of Fresh Connection for several years. Besides their wonderful cafe, they also feature holiday meals, either individually or meals for four. Such a great way to simplify a holiday meal when you don’t want to bother cooking. We have ordered meals for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and St Patrick’s Day. And all have been truly delicious. So it was only logical when we needed to hire a caterer for our wedding in February, we would call on Chef Lisa and her team. We are so glad we made that decision. Chef Lisa herself oversaw the catering and she and her crew did an outstanding job. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves in no small part to the efforts of Fresh Connection. I could not recommend them more highly.
I'm giving this catering company a 5star review because they were very accommodating. I had a few issues with a employee who is no longer with them and they made up for it. Now, syvett was amazing she went over and beyond her job duties always kept communication open and worked hard with a smile. The food was amazing my guest loved it as well! If you are looking for a inexpensive luxury dining experience in st.petersburg this is the place! They brought class and fine dining to my beach wedding reception! I booked with them on 2/22/22 at sunset beach!
There aren't enough words to describe how amazing they were to work with. Susie is literally the sweetest person I've ever met. we had an amazing food tasting with them and they followed through on every single request. Sylvette was my day of coordinator and she literally stole my heart. she handled everything down to the littlest details. the food was amazing and every server was well dressed and kind and helpful. thank you for an amazing day!!!
