Nice service, food was okay. Pancakes were pretty good everything else was just average. Wasn’t too expensive so would consider going again for just a quick bite to eat, wouldn’t go out of my way though to eat here.
Great service, but I really did not enjoy my meal. The bread was tough and it seemed like it was stale. The chicken was dry and tasteless. The potatoes were warm, not crispy but it had good flavor.
we spent almost 40 dollars on 2 Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. We thought we were getting the Philly with mushrooms and bell peppers. Our sandwiches were dry, with nothing on them but cheeses and that was minimal. Very disappointed with the way food was made.
What a great place for breakfast. This has become our breakfast location of choice when we are in St. Pete. Great options, great food, great service. My one suggestion is that if you are not overly hungry, split a meal with your other half, the servings are really big.
Visited on 4/2022 . Friendly service, clean restrooms, tables and bar sitting available. Busy but not backed up, food and drinks were good. They were able to accommodate a large party and we did not feel rushed or forgotten. The Bloody Mary flight was unexpectedly yummy!
Horrible place, horrible service. I asked for no onions and of course here it comes and the grilled onions look the same color as the burger so I bit into it and started the horrible experience with a bad taste in my mouth. Keep in mind the entire time trying to get seated or place an order was like pulling teeth! Attitude the entire time besides the lady at the front door. The BLT we ordered came with burnt bacon. Why leave the kitchen knowing you are staring at burnt bacon. So I asked for just bacon to be re done and she brought my 2 strips that were mostly unedible from not being cooked enough. So switching out my 6 or 7 strips for 2 half edible strips. I don’t understand why people don’t put themselves in the customers seat. If they went back to the kitchen to get their food I’d bet a million dollars it would be right every-time. Oh and somehow the blt didn’t come with 2 pieces of bread. In what world do you eat a blt with avocado without a 2nd piece of bread. Never said I can get you one, just “that’s how it comes”. The burger had no flavor either.
Just walking in downtown St Pete and had a pleasant surprise when we wandered in to 2nd and Second. Nice tight breakfast menu and flip the menu for sandwhiches, starters and burgers. The food was very good, not flashy and fancy, just sturdy and solid food beckoning to the hungry. A little loud but partitioned for privacy. Worth trying. Today was perfect for their outdoor seating. They were busy but the food was fast and perfect.
I ordered the Croissandwich w/ham. I opened the sandwich and two quarter-sliced pieces of ham did not cover the bottom of the croissant. It’s also stacked with egg, cheddar cheese and tomato. No distinguishing twist here. For me, the home fries were much better.Our server was very nice, however became a bit overwhelmed with new customers. That happens and it’s ok. Maybe management however should train staff to work more cohesively and help each other out if possible. Three or four other employees were basically walking around. We had to flag our server to bring the check, and no one removed our plates. Upon leaving two employees kept their personal conversation going, and no thank you was received.
Really enjoyed our experience ! Portions are large , food was hot and fresh and servers very friendly. The home fires stole the show ! We had the croissant sandwich and the steak and egg breakfast burrito . I didn’t care for the burrito much but my partner loved it. The BBQ sauce served on top was actually pretty good . I recommend if getting the croissant sandwich , to have them fry the egg well rather than runny. The croissant itself is fresh and soft so it made the bread wet and soggy pretty quickly. Great coffee and even better cranberry juice . Will definitely be returning .
Anwen, our server, was awesome. Portions were huge. We threw several special requests at them and all went smoothly. Highly recommended.
