I ordered a sweet potato roll and specified I had a shellfish allergy and to be careful. They put the sweet potato roll in the same box as another roll that a seafood roll was in and when I called to see if they could make me a separate roll (which btw is $5) they said they couldn’t do that. Any place I go to will plate and/or box sushi rolls separately. Well I hope your $5 was worth loosing returning customers. I will not be back.
My sister and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Umai. The restaurant decor is lovely and the service was excellent. We shared 3 appetizers and a sushi. Loved each dish. Sorry I hadn't gone sooner.
Delicious food and the sweetest staff. We went at a slow time so there were only a couple other patrons there and the service was fast. They were happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. Most importantly, I have a severe MSG sensitivity so they ensured there was none used in everything we ordered. Food portions were generous and not expensive. Everything my hubby and his mom shared was a treat.

Had a Great Dinner experience!Server was pulling double duty seating and serving but kept up with the task. She was very attentive, friendly, and upbeat.Food came out hot and fresh. We Will be back.
Third and last time patroning this restaurant, Uber ordered tonight for apx. $80.00, they forgot to pack my four piece sushi; when I called - I was basically told I was a liar with no apology, just defensive assertions that either the Uber driver stole it from a stapled bag or I’m a liar. I work in customer service and wouldn’t dream of telling people they are liars - I probably wouldn’t have a job for long if so.
Very bad experience today.I had the Steak Hibachi lunch, and it had a very bad taste. I started with the side vegetables and not only were they over cooked but The sauce had a very unpleasant taste.I took in a piece of the steak, And immediately I could taste the meat was bad and was just covered up with the same sauce that the vegetables had.I stood up en went straight to the cashier to pay and leave. The waitress approached me and asked me about the food because I had left my table 2 minutes after they brought me my food. I told her that I did not like it, —she responded why?— And I simply said it had a very bad taste.After that she just started speaking in her language to the cashier turned around and left. For a moment I thought they were going to give me credit for the food (although that was never my intention).instead I got the invoice with an attitude which I found it to be kind of funny because it should’ve been me who was offended I went ahead and paid and left.I am not coming back again.
Walked in 1pm on a Wednesday, waited 10 minutes and no one came to sit us. People walking around the kitchen and didn’t care about it. Place was deserted. Better choices with better services elsewhere.
Food is great but some of the staff are unfriendly and talk down to you.
Literally SO amazing! Much more than I expected. I got take out via Uber Eats and did not realize how much you get for the money and the quality is amazing too. I will be making it my Japanese food go to now!
