I've tried many taco places around Jacksonville, and none of them have impressed me like The Little Sombrero has. My wife and I tried them earlier today and we were completely taken by surprise. The Birria was so full of flavor and the fried fish taco was fresh and lite, one of the best fish tacos I've ever eaten. The Birria quesataco looked pretty much like a normal quesadilla but when you dip it in the Consommé Dipping Sauce, it is heavenly. The rice and beans were great and the queso with the fresh chips was awesome! The carnitas were just ok on their own, but when you add some of their red salsa, it's a game changer! The only thing we didn't particularly love was the smoked chicken taco. That's not to say the smoked chicken taco was bad, but everything else was just that much more flavorful. The owner and cooks were extremely friendly and the food came out lightning fast. I don't care how far you have to go to get here (for us it was over a 30 minute drive), it is so worth it!
The best tacos in town!! Always fresh super generous portions and delicious! My favorite spot and if you love chorizo they have the best Chorizo taco I have ever had!!
Great atmosphere and friendly service. The food is beyond salty. Tastes as if there are cups of salt thrown over everything .
Tacos were the best we’ve ever had! Highly recommend trying them. So sad we’re from out of town because we’d definitely eat here again. 10/10
Amazing food!!! Will be back!
This place is the real deal! Been twice now and the food is so good!! Don’t even think twice. Just go.
the breakfast burrito was very good. extremely good. nice atmosphere at the food truck park as well. perfect after a morning surf. thanks !
Found this place by chance. I am so fortunate. Highly recommend. I have only had the chicken quesadilla which was amazing. I will travel to try other menu items. Worth the ride.
Excellent!! Had the Baja fish tacos, one of the best fish tacos I’ve had since leaving San Diego. Good heat to the sauce and the fish was perfect. The salsa and chips are also excellent. Nice heat to the salsa and you can taste the fresh cilantro come through. They should bottle that salsa up and sell it!! I will definitely be back.
I wanted to try something new, found this place located at a food truck park. It was awfully quiet for a Sunday afternoon, I still decided to try it. Anyway I ordered a birria burrito and it was a meal in itself. All contents of the burrito tasted delicious, hot and slightly spicy. Birria meat, rice, beans, avocado, cheese, and pico. Everything was fresh. I highly recommend this place!
