This is a very nice restaurant with a home like atmosphere. They have extensive menu of beer, wine, and cocktails. Their pickled shrimp appetizer was delicious. The menu is full of creative dishes and it was difficult to choose. I wound choosing the cornbread stack, which was ok but sounded better on the menu. My wife had the fish and grits that was very good. The staff did a great job with our party of 10. This is definitely a cool place grab dinner and drinks while in St Augustine.
Place is nice, the staff is super friendly but what we ordered was not great. We had a melted fish sandwich, fish was good but the bread was very bad, disintegrated fast and did not add any flavor to the sandwich. We also ordered the pork sandwich which was also lacking flavor. Would recommend a couple more fans for the outside seating since it is so hot during the summer. Dog friendly outside.
Fresh delicious food. Fun atmosphere, awesome service. Not very expensive. Had lunch there to get out of the heat. Vegan and vegetarian food choices along with plenty of meat choices. Craft cocktails.
Yeah I’m gonna give this place 5 stars! It was absolutely delicious!! The hostess was so friendly and our server was great - I’m sorry I can’t remember her name! I wanted everything on the menu but I got the steak and it was like butter! My husband got the sausage and shrimp dish - amazing! The drinks were excellent, the atmosphere was wonderful! My brother-in-law got the fried chicken with waffles - WOW!! I’ll be back next year for another fabulous dinner!
A nice restaurant with good vegan options!Strengths:+ Great location right off St. George Street+ Larger restaurant with lots of seating (however, still get a reservation)+ Great fast service that was kind+ Clean and eclectic atmosphere that was well kept+ Good vegan option list so we weren't stuck with only one option or salad.+ INEXPENSIVE compared to surrounding restaurants. We were at $65 including tip, two entrees, one appetizer, one cocktail, and one mocktail. AMAZING!Opportunities:- the vegan version of the fried green tomatoes needed more seasoning. Even smothered in the sauce, it was quite bland. This is the only dish we actively were not a fan of. 2 stars on that dish. Just some nice salt, pepper, and garlic powder in that batter would go a long way.- the potatoes in the nicoise were a little under cooked. We couldn't finish some of them that had a bit of a crunch. 4 star on flavor and everything else.
Absolutely loved this place! Quaint little restaurant surrounded by greenery that features unique, delicious dishes. We had the soup of the day, which was a fragrant curry, and each shared the Biscuit and Belly, FGT BLT, and the Bay of Pigs. All of it was AMAZING! Our server Riley was great, and she was sweet enough to take a group pic of us.
The entire place was a VIBE and the food was delicious. There are several photo opportunities and the wait staff (Riley) was super nice. Their take on a BLT was so good, I couldn't get enough! 10/10
We love this little restaurant in St. Augustine. It's a little off the 'main' area and quite quaint looking. We visited it in 2019 and had to try it again on this trip in May 2022. It didn't disappoint. We had and appetizer for an entree a 3 dip( black bean, lemon garlic hummus and I added fish dip) and chip fare and a Fried Green Tomato BLT sandwich with chips. All were very tasty and it was hard to finish it all. One of our now fav places in St. Augustine.
We made a reservation for dinner and were seated shortly after arriving. They have a patio, but we chose to eat inside. We started with the Fried Green Tomato appetizer, and it was awesome. Hubby had Blackened Flounder and Grits which he enjoyed. It was a little soupier than he prefers, but the fish serving was a nice-sized portion, and the taste was good. I had the Shrimp Panzanella salad (on arugula) and it was delicious. This is a Tuscan dish that is not prevalent on non-Italian restaurants. Here they changed it up by using cornbread in place of the usual baguette or ciabatta. It was very fresh and the buttermilk-herb dressing seemed to be homemade. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for either lunch or dinner as their menus are very similar for each meal.
The Floridian was our first stop upon arrival to St. Augustine. The weather was announcing a thunderstorm and we needed to find a place to eat while the oncoming storm passed. We arrived just in time to weather the storm and were blown away by the excellent service, flavorful food and cozy atmosphere. Now, if I could only figure out the recipe for that wonderful Meatloaf sanwich...
