Food is generally good here especially after the new management came in. Only complaint is that it is unhygienic. Ants by the garbage cans and food underneath tables. Also saw a lady who ordered in the drive through come inside with a live roach in her food bag. That was pretty nasty… when the manager saw she said she couldn’t give her a refund and could only remake the food.
I was very disappointed with what I received from Steak n Shake. I was highly recommended by a friend to try Steak n Shake. So being on vacation I choose to try something new. I ordered a single steak burger with cheese combo with regular onion rings and a large root beer also a Frisco melt combo with small cheese fries and a large coca cola. Ordering was easy, the order was on time, and the driver was professional and nice. What was not exceptible was the straws were missing for the two large drinks, I had checked the box in the app for untensils and napkins but they were also missing. The food was also lacking compared to the pictures depicting them. The single steak burger patty was very very thin and tasteless. The onion rings were soft and cold. I asked for no sauce on the Frisco burger which came with sauce anyway. I ordered cheese fries expecting fries coverd with cheese instead I received cold soft fries with a side of cheese in a container. This was not described in the description when I ordered otherwise I would not have wasted the money. The only thing that was a plus was the large drinks were much larger than expected.
I just went to this location for the first time and wanted to use my coupon for a free shake. Please tell me why the manager told me it can't be used during happy hour? That makes no sense at all! It also doesn't say that anywhere on the coupon. Places just make up their own rules now lol
Have to order at the kiosk. Shakes were half off during happy hour! WOO! Went to configure our shake orders to say no cherry or whipped cream, but didnt have to as it said those were extra cost. But then shakes had them anyways.. derp. Good place! Cheap shakes!
It’s not the best. There are definitely better options near this area if you want something quick. The burgers where pretty good, the fries barely even tasted like anything, the chicken nuggets where very heavily breaded and pretty gross, and the lemonade I got was very watered down. It’s as if there wasn’t enough syrup in it. The drive thru was acceptable, but all in all there are better options to pick then this, so it’s best not to waste your time here, unless you really like steak burgers because it’s the only good quality about the food.
Great spot over all. Order was quick at the dine in kiosk, tea was sweet, food was good and accurate even though it took a minute which was mainly the side of onion rings made to order. Only thing that stuck out was the drink station needed to be cleaned more often because it was getting dirty from customers spilling liquids down the wall.
They are happy to tell you that you can't have something without offering a price or a solution. They are happy to tell you they are a franchise and they don't have to treat you like other steak and shakes. We love steak and shake and this one is a complete joke. Buy some glass cleaner place is nasty fingerprints everywhere. The kiosks windows and all other glass are covered in fingerprints right when they opened. Steer clear.
As good as any burger place. Great tasting food and good prices. Staff was great and attentive. As good as one could expect during this trying time.
